On July 24, the program On-Time Finance on CCTV Financial Channel aired a special report titled "Photovoltaic Industry Observation", focusing on the significant impact of the new national photovoltaic standard on industrial development. CCTV reporters went deep into the silicon material and module bases of Tongwei's photovoltaic new energy industry chain, interviewing relevant responsible persons to demonstrate Tongwei's practical path of driving industrial upgrading through technological innovation and leading high-quality industry development with high standards against the backdrop of the countdown to the implementation of the new national standard.

The CCTV report pointed out that as the new national photovoltaic standard enters the countdown to implementation, the requirements for energy consumption and energy efficiency are also promoting technological upgrading across the industry chain. Polysilicon production is at the uppermost end of the photovoltaic industry chain. Facing stricter energy consumption requirements, enterprises are adopting various methods to improve resource utilization efficiency and reduce production costs. In the CCTV footage, a "cold hydrogenation" unit at Yongxiang New Energy is operating efficiently. Cheng Xiongren, Deputy Director of the Production Department of Yongxiang New Energy, introduced in an interview with CCTV reporters: "This equipment, nearly two stories high, is our core unit—the hydrogenation furnace. It can produce 1 ton of high-purity crystalline silicon, with performance that almost approaches the theoretical limit."

The newly revised Limit of Energy Consumption per Unit Product for Polycrystalline Silicon and Germanium has tightened the minimum energy consumption requirement for the trichlorosilane process to 6.3 kgce/kg. Through innovative measures such as production process iteration, refined digital management, and AI intelligent control, Yongxiang Co., Ltd. has taken the lead in the industry in controlling key indicators like silicon consumption and energy consumption, providing solid support for the compliance of upstream production capacity. The new national standard not only drives the technological upgrading of domestic products but also accelerates the pace of enterprises' global expansion. Chen Fangzhou, the overseas lead for module marketing in the Photovoltaic Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., stated in a CCTV interview: "Tongwei's photovoltaic module exports are growing year by year. It is expected that the overseas market will see a 50% growth rate in 2026 compared to last year." At present, Tongwei's photovoltaic module products have been exported to more than 80 countries and regions around the world, with its global layout continuously deepening.

With the full implementation of the new national standard, the industrial technology rules will be comprehensively restructured, and the photovoltaic industry landscape is ushering in new changes. In the CCTV report, Yang Chao, Product Director of the Photovoltaic Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., introduced that from the perspective of national energy transition, this mandatory standard has reshaped the value system of both the power generation side and the power consumption side. The energy efficiency grade is the core indicator that measures the power generation efficiency of photovoltaic products. For the power generation side, the energy efficiency grade can effectively improve the utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation and reduce the energy consumption of the entire life cycle of the system; for the power consumption side, the unified energy efficiency grade can greatly lower the threshold for market selection, making photovoltaic products as standardized and transparent as home appliances.

Relying on its forward-looking technological layout, Tongwei has taken the lead in mass-producing the TNC 3.0-G12 750W module, with a mass production efficiency of 24.14%—exceeding the national standard threshold for the first-level energy efficiency of TOPCon, which will be mandatorily implemented in 2027. This has secured Tongwei a "ticket to the market" for the next stage in advance. Currently, this high-efficiency production capacity is in short supply, and the orders for June have fully covered the entire production capacity.

CCTV's focus on Tongwei this time is not only a high recognition of Tongwei's technological strength and compliance capabilities across the entire industry chain but also reflects the firm determination of China's photovoltaic industry to move toward high-quality development under the guidance of the new national standard. As a leading enterprise that has won the "double championships" in both silicon material and solar cell sectors, Tongwei is adopting the attitude of "meeting the standard is only the starting point, and exceeding it is the norm". During the period of in-depth industrial adjustment, Tongwei is strengthening its internal capabilities and moving forward courageously, contributing China's photovoltaic strength to the global energy transition.
