The 12th Executive Committee’s 5th Meeting of the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce (Provincial General Chamber of Commerce) was held in Chengdu from February 9 to 10, 2026. The meeting reviewed and summarized the key work in 2025, arranged and deployed major tasks for 2026, and gathered the strength of the private economy to contribute to the new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Sichuan. Jing Lin, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Federation, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Tang Yan, Chairperson of the Provincial Federation and President of the Provincial General Chamber of Commerce, presented the work report. Over 300 participants attended the meeting, including vice chairpersons and secretaries-general of the Provincial Federation, vice presidents of the Provincial General Chamber of Commerce, standing committee members, executive committee members, heads of the Economic Affairs Division of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, department-level officials, deputy secretaries-general, and heads of divisions of the Provincial Federation. The meeting emphasized the need to deeply grasp General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the healthy development of the private economy, focusing on six key aspects: the core essence of upholding the "Two Unwavering Principles"; the "Two Healths" as the work theme; optimizing the business environment as the focal point; the "pro-business and clean" government-business relationship and the connotation of "private enterprises and entrepreneurs are our own people"; the 20-character general requirement of "patriotism, dedication to development, law-abiding operation, and promoting common prosperity through initial prosperity"; and the basic positioning of the "home for private entrepreneurs." It called for a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the major policies and mechanisms of the Party and the state, encouraging enterprises to confidently engage in production and operations while abiding by laws and regulations, and firmly believing that the goals of "fully establishing a high-level socialist market economic system by 2035" and "advancing the perfection and institutionalization of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics" will be achieved.

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the 4th Executive Committee Meeting of the 13th National Federation of Industry and Commerce, reported on the relevant work of the provincial federation system in 2025, and reviewed and approved personnel matters. During the meeting, the "Glorious Night" event of the Provincial Glorious Affairs Association, the "Rule of Law Safeguarding High-Quality Development of the Private Economy" legal learning activity, and the thematic sharing session on promoting the healthy and high-quality development of the private economy were held.

At the "Glorious Night" event, Tang Yan, Chairperson of the Provincial Federation and President of the Provincial General Chamber of Commerce, released the "Glorious Achievements"; Zheng Zongqiang, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation, and Vice President of the Provincial Glorious Affairs Association, released the "Glorious Footprints" with the theme "In Sync with the Times, Shining with the Land," reviewing the 32-year magnificent journey of Sichuan’s glorious cause. Liu Hanyuan, National People’s Congress Deputy, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation, and Chairman of the Board of Tongwei Group, delivered a speech on the release of glorious projects, sharing heartfelt insights and advocating for the cause.

The moderator announced 28 "Reserved Glorious Projects" and called on entrepreneurs to make donations according to their capabilities. In the next step, the Provincial Glorious Affairs Association will evaluate and support eligible projects one by one to ensure that every donation is precisely implemented, every commitment yields tangible results, and every act of kindness reaches those most in need. Counties including Pingwu, Mabian, Wanyuan, and Tongjiang showcased their resources, grassroots needs, and earnest expectations through videos. Subsequently, Secretary Jing Lin, Chairperson Tang Yan, Chairman Liu Hanyuan, and Vice Chairman Zheng Zongqiang jointly witnessed the launch ceremony of the "Reserved Glorious Projects," marking a new stage of development for Sichuan’s glorious cause.
