On January 25th, the leadership transition ceremony and 2026 annual meeting of the Sichuan Alumni Association of Peking University Guanghua School of Management (hereafter referred to as the "PKU Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association"), themed "Guanghua Shines in the Fertile Land, United Hearts Chart a Grand Vision," was successfully held in Chengdu. The event was attended by Professor Liu Qiao, Dean of Peking University Guanghua School of Management; Professor Ma Huaxiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Peking University Guanghua School of Management; alumnus Liu Hanyuan, Deputy to the National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group, and Founding Honorary President of the PKU Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association; alumnus Wang Degen, Chairman of Dekon Group and President of the Second Council of the PKU Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association; along with faculty representatives, alumni representatives from various regions, and members of the Sichuan Alumni Association.

During the event, the Boya Tianfu Lecture Hall, meticulously created by Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association, was grandly inaugurated. Professor Liu Qiao, Dean of Peking University Guanghua School of Management, Liu Hanyuan, Deputy to the NPC, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group, and Professor Yan Se, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economic Policy at Peking University, delivered keynote speeches, which were structured progressively and rich in substantive content.

Focusing on the era-specific topic of transforming China's economic drivers from old to new, Chairman Liu Hanyuan drew upon decades of profound industry insight and his practical experience from deep immersion in the sector. He systematically elaborated on the underlying logic of a new engine for China's long-term economic development over the next twenty years: 100% renewable energy. With an entrepreneur's foresight and sense of responsibility, he shared perspectives on industrial upgrading and innovative development with fellow alumni, eliciting strong resonance among the audience.

At the appointment ceremony held concurrently, Chairman Liu Hanyuan accepted the certificate and commemorative trophy appointing him as the Founding Honorary President of the PKU Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association and participated in the flag-handover segment. During the solemn flag-handover ceremony, Chairman Wang Degen received the association flag from the outgoing President, Chairman Liu Hanyuan, officially assuming the role of President of the Second Council of the Sichuan Alumni Association of Peking University Guanghua School of Management.

The successful conclusion of this leadership transition ceremony and 2026 annual meeting marks the PKU Guanghua Sichuan Alumni Association's entry into a new phase of development. The association will continue to uphold the Guanghua spirit, consolidate the strength of its alumni, build broader platforms for exchange and cooperation, empower both the socioeconomic development of Sichuan and the growth of its alumni, and write a new chapter of Guanghua on the land of Bashu.
