Wang Binda, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Meishan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Meishan, delivered a city promotion presentation and stated that this year has been an extraordinary one for the photovoltaic industry, facing a series of challenges such as market fluctuations, capacity expansion, order volatility, cost pressures, and intensified competition. However, Meishan has always been optimistic about the PV industry and has never wavered in its determination to develop it. Today's Meishan boasts overlapping strategic opportunities and obvious regional advantages; a sound pilot-test system and burgeoning innovation vitality; sufficient resource elements and strong support guarantees; high-quality, efficient services and a first-class business environment; and a comfortable living environment, making it a livable and workable city. Mukhambetov Sanzhar, former Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, stated in his speech that, according to McKinsey data, the world is at a turning point for energy transition, and in the first half of this year, new installed capacity in emerging markets has surpassed that of the EU. Solar energy is no longer a luxury but a necessity of our times. China's practices demonstrate the enormous potential of green transformation, while China also leads in the production of batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines. China is one of Kyrgyzstan's key partners under the Belt and Road Initiative. The two sides have implemented joint projects in hydropower, solar and wind installations, and the modernization of grid infrastructure, achieving abundant results. The convening of this conference also provides an important platform for global new energy cooperation. A Kyrgyz proverb says, "The sun shines on the earth, and everyone is equal."
