With the same power station,

the wrong module choice could cost you RMB 11,000 annually.

Which module delivers the most profit? Here’s how to choose wisely.

At Tongwei’s Yancheng megawatt-level demonstration plant, the TNC 2.0 module was tested alongside three mainstream competitors.

On paper, the power ratings seem alike — but how do they perform in actual power generation?

Real-time monitoring reveals that, compared to a benchmark module, Tongwei's TNC 2.0 module consistently delivers a higher energy yield per watt across diverse environments. With its superior bifaciality design, the TNC 2.0 module captures more reflected light—especially when ground reflectivity is high—unlocking even greater output. By contrast, some competing modules struggle significantly under cloudy conditions.

Even under cloudy skies, Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 module delivers robust power generation performance. The secret lies in two innovations: first, a highly efficient backside enabled by Poly Tech technology, which provides more absorption channels for reflected light from the surface, thus boosting the overall bifaciality above 85% and unlocking 1% to 1.5% extra yield compared to standard 70% bifaciality modules.

Second, exceptionally low-light responsiveness of Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 module ensures reliable output during mornings, evenings, and overcast conditions. When competing modules are still lagging, Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 module is already delivering strong output. At Yancheng’s local electricity rates, a 1MW installation of TNC 2.0 module generates an extra 15,000 kWh annually—translating into an additional RMB 11,000 in revenue.

The cost per watt is RMB 0.07 to 0.10 cheaper than Module No. 2, and this does not even account for the additional power generation gains under low-light conditions. With peak and valley electricity pricing now implemented in many regions, products that can generate more power in the mornings and evenings are better aligned with market revenue curves.

For industrial and commercial electricity in Yancheng, midday power is priced at just RMB 0.73 per kWh, compared with RMB 1.03 per kWh in the morning and evening. That means 2 kWh generated during peak hours brings the same revenue as 3 kWh at noon.

Built for long-term performance, Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 module harnesses the dual engines of technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing to accelerate efficiency gains. With significantly higher energy yield per watt, the module turns every ray of sunlight into greater returns—powering progress with the sun and advancing growth through green energy.
