Recently, the BayWa r.e. team visited Tongwei to discuss the TNC 2.0 product, supply chain strategies, and market collaboration. The visit included tours of the Tongwei International Center, the Tongwei Photovoltaic Science and Technology Museum, and the Tongwei Global Innovation R&D Center. This tour provided a direct understanding of Tongwei's smart manufacturing and reliability testing, laying the groundwork for further cooperation in the French market.
The Beginning and Expansion of Cooperation
Tongwei and BayWa r.e.'s collaboration began at the 2023 Intersolar Europe exhibition, where they initiated their partnership, focusing on the implementation of high-efficiency modules in the European market. Over two years, the collaboration has progressed from initial market discussions to the advancement of specific projects, and now includes the TNC 2.0 product. This partnership has allowed Tongwei and BayWa r.e. to make significant strides in the French market.
BayWa r.e.'s channel and project experience, combined with Tongwei's product strength and delivery capabilities, offer superior solutions for French rooftop and commercial and industrial applications.
Witnessing Reliability Firsthand
The BayWa r.e. team's first stop was the Tongwei International Center. Face-to-face discussions brought the logic behind data and documents to life. The two parties exchanged views on the European energy transition and the French market and policies, making the future of their collaboration more concrete and clear.
The BayWa r.e. team then visited the Tongwei Photovoltaic Science and Technology Museum. The immersive exhibition uses sound, light, and interactive devices to connect the history of humanity's pursuit of light with the panoramic view of Tongwei's new energy industry chain.
The museum is connected to a smart factory tour corridor, forming a unique "one museum, one corridor" structure: the "museum" showcases the narrative of light and Tongwei's industrial blueprint; the "corridor" extends the view to a zero-carbon factory. Robotic arms move, unmanned vehicles shuttle, and production lines operate precisely. Tongwei embodies light into solar cells and modules, highlighting "intelligent manufacturing."
At the Tongwei Global Innovation R&D Center, the BayWa r.e. team witnessed the TNC 2.0 undergoing extreme tests such as hail, humidity, and thermal cycling, remaining stable under impact. These direct observations were more convincing than data alone. Reliability was no longer just a concept but a tangible answer they witnessed.
Why Choose Tongwei?
For BayWa r.e., choosing TNC 2.0 is not only because of its proven reliability in the lab but also because it meets the core needs of the French market.
In rooftop and commercial and industrial scenarios, space is limited, and efficiency requirements are high. The TNC 2.0 G12R-48 version, with its black frame and small size, combines high performance with a maximum power of 475W and an efficiency of up to 23.8%, which means more power generation value can be achieved on the same roof area.
While combining aesthetics and efficiency, compared to common lightweight residential module solutions, Tongwei TNC 2.0 modules use more robust materials, with a double-glass design and 2.0mm thermally strengthened glass, making the modules more durable. They can withstand the pressure of approximately 4 meters of snow and a 15-level hurricane and have A-level fire resistance, meeting France's strict requirements for building safety and durability.
Additionally, Tongwei TNC 2.0 modules meet carbon footprint certification standards, ensuring that the carbon footprint values generated throughout the product's life cycle, from raw material manufacturing, production line processes, module production, and transportation energy consumption, meet high standards. For BayWa r.e. and its customers, this is not only a policy-compliant choice but also a commitment to the future.
From discussions to visits, from testing to verification, this trip to Chengdu allowed BayWa r.e. to experience Tongwei's reliability and commitment more directly. Visiting Tongwei was not just a site visit but a deepening of trust, which brings the collaboration closer.
