On September 10, Liu Shuqi, Chairwoman and CEO of Tongwei Co., Ltd., led a delegation to visit Midea, engaging in discussions centered on digital transformation. The visit aimed to gain insights into Midea's transition from a traditional manufacturing enterprise to a technology-driven group. The delegation toured Midea's microwave oven lighthouse factory, the Midea KUKA intelligent manufacturing technology park, and the Midea headquarters exhibition hall.

During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics including financial system operation models, supply chain management, digital transformation, AI technology applications, and corporate management. Zhang Xiaoyi, Vice President and CDO of Midea Group, systematically introduced the core role of digitalization in Midea's strategic advancement, including IT governance architecture, AI technology applications, and customer lifecycle operations. He also shared practical experience on how to break down departmental barriers and unlock the value of data.

Currently, Midea Group's AIGC solutions have been integrated into 158 core business scenarios, covering R&D, manufacturing, HR, domestic sales, foreign sales, financial and tax compliance, and legal affairs, gradually establishing the advantages of algorithms and applications in vertical industries. In the second half of 2025, Midea will further focus on key business scenarios, continuously promoting efficiency improvement, revenue growth, and experience optimization. Industrial software is fully independently developed and uniformly output and empowered by MeiCloud.


When discussing corporate management and transformation, Fang Hongbo, Chairman and President of Midea Group, stated that "Digitalization is the core of Midea's transformation into a technology-driven enterprise, and it is also the cornerstone of intelligence. Its strategic significance far exceeds technology itself. Corporate transformation should also proactively plan for future industries. For fields with longer R&D and return cycles, such as healthcare, strategic patience and firm investment should also be maintained."

Previously, Midea Group and Tongwei Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and both parties have carried out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in the fields of photovoltaic industry digitalization, robotics and logistics automation, smart buildings, and logistics services. This visit not only deepened Tongwei Co., Ltd.'s understanding of Midea's strategic layout, digital transformation, and other aspects but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two parties in multiple fields such as digitalization.
