On August 28, the 2025 Press Conference of China's Top 500 Private Enterprises and the Conference on National Excellent and Strong Private Enterprises Assisting Liaoning in Its All-round Revitalization and New Breakthrough, co-hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the People's Government of Liaoning Province, was held in Shenyang. At the conference, lists such as the "2025 China's Top 500 Private Enterprises" and the "2025 China's Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises" were released. Tongwei ranks 25th on the "2025 China's Top 500 Private Enterprises" list and 19th on the "2025 China's Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises" list, topping the list of enterprises from Sichuan.

The "China's Top 500 Private Enterprises" list is generated by arranging the total annual operating income in descending order on the basis of the survey of large-scale private enterprises by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. It is the most authoritative and comprehensive list in the field of China's private economy and is hailed as the "barometer" of China's private economy.

This year, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce organized and carried out the 27th research on large-scale private enterprises. A total of 6,379 enterprises with an operating income of over RMB 1 billion in 2024 participated. Among them, the top 500 enterprises in terms of operating income are China's Top 500 Private Enterprises in 2025. The entry threshold for the top 500 private enterprises has increased to RMB 27.023 billion; the total operating income has reached RMB 43.05 trillion; the total net profit is RMB 1.80 trillion; the total R&D expenses are RMB 1.13 trillion, the total number of R&D personnel is 1.1517 million, and the average intensity of R&D expenditure is 2.77%; the total tax payment is RMB 1.27 trillion, and there are 240 enterprises with a tax payment of more than RMB 1 billion, accounting for 48.00% of the top 500. Among the top 500 private enterprises, 29 companies have been shortlisted on this year's Fortune Global 500 list.
