Tongwei enters 2025 Fortune China Tech 50 list

At the intersection of technological iteration and market demand, Chinese companies are propelling technology into practical applications through robust execution. In the field of large models, these companies eschew hollow conceptual hype, focusing instead on optimizing models for vertical sectors like finance and healthcare to enhance efficiency. By improving articulation flexibility and endurance, they enable machines to replace humans in high-risk, high-intensity tasks. They develop more efficient and cleaner energy sources, fostering greater harmony between humanity and nature.

The Fortune China Tech 50 list aims to spotlight tech companies born in China that are shaping the global landscape. The success of these Chinese firms lies not only in their specific technologies and products but also in the spirit of innovation and global vision they embody. Fifty enterprises including Huawei, DeepSeek, CATL, China Seed Group, Alibaba, Tencent, BYD, ByteDance, Unitree Robotics, and DJI were named to the list. Recognized for its technological prowess, Tongwei's inclusion in the 2025 list underscores its global leadership in innovation and industry influence.

Leveraging independent innovation, Tongwei has achieved continuous breakthroughs in high-purity polysilicon, high-efficiency cells, and high-efficiency modules. In polysilicon technology, the independently developed "Yongxiang Methods" has advanced to its eighth generation, with research and development underway for the ninth generation. The product purity reaches 11N, and electronic-grade polysilicon is exported in bulk, establishing a foundation for the company's leading global production and sales of high-purity polysilicon. In terms of cell technology, Tongwei has been the global leader in cell shipments for eight consecutive years, dominating the TOPCon technology roadmap and strategically deploying HJT, BC, and perovskite tandem cells. Entering the module market in 2022, the company has achieved cumulative shipments exceeding 100GW in just three years, with the launch of the new TNC 2.0 module, pushing module efficiency to new heights through technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing. Currently, Tongwei modules are distributed in over 70 countries and regions worldwide, demonstrating the core driving force of Chinese technology enterprises in the global green revolution.

In July 2025, Tongwei was once again listed on the Fortune Global 500, becoming a company listed for three consecutive years in both the global photovoltaic and aquaculture industries. As a core participant and major driving force in the global new energy industry, Tongwei, while meeting its own technological innovation needs, has collaborated with several leading enterprises in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to establish the Sichuan Province Polysilicon Photovoltaic Industry Innovation Center. This center aims to build an industrial innovation ecosystem and ecological chain for the high-quality development of the polysilicon photovoltaic industry, construct a "government-industry-university-research-capital-application" collaborative innovation system, accelerate the transformation of research and development achievements, and promote the healthy development of the entire industrial chain.

In the future, Tongwei will continue to leverage its demonstration and leadership role and its advantages in technological innovation, working with industry peers to integrate resources, overcome common industry challenges, enhance the technological innovation capabilities of the entire photovoltaic industrial chain, and create a mutually beneficial industry ecosystem, contributing to photovoltaic technology innovation and the global energy transition.
