On July 22, the 2025 Fortune China 500 list was released. Tongwei, with its steady development momentum, once again made it onto the list, ranking 122nd and continuing to hold the top position in China's photovoltaic (PV) and aquaculture industries.
The Fortune China 500 list has a history of 25 years. The List follows the same methodology as the Fortune Global 500 and includes both listed and non-listed companies. The Fortune China 500 list not only reveals the progress and resilience of Chinese enterprises but also highlights the gaps between Chinese companies and their global counterparts. Moreover, it showcases the new initiatives and responsibilities undertaken by Chinese enterprises amid a complex and challenging external environment.
The report shows that the total revenue of the 500 listed Chinese companies reached USD 14.2 trillion in 2024, with a net profit of USD 756.4 billion. The annual revenue threshold for companies to make the list this year was approximately USD 3.62 billion, representing a decrease of about 3% compared to last year's threshold. Calculated in US dollars, China's total GDP in 2024 reached USD 18.75 trillion, with the combined revenue of the 500 companies on this year's list accounting for roughly three-quarters of China's GDP for that year. Among them, Tongwei ranked 122nd, once again demonstrating its strong development capabilities.
Under the leadership of Liu Hanyuan, a deputy to the National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group, Tongwei has continued to delve deeply into the PV and new energy industry, and became one of the key participants and drivers in the global PV sector. In 2023 and 2024, Tongwei was listed on the Fortune Global 500 for two consecutive years, becoming the only company in the global PV industry to achieve this feat. In 2025, Tongwei's brand value reached a new all-time high of RMB 251.092 billion, continuing to hold the top global position in both the PV and aquaculture industries.
Over the past 43 years, Tongwei has consistently adhered to the "dual green" development path, and promoted global sustainable development. The company has earned widespread recognition from society and received numerous accolades, including the Top 500 Global New Energy Enterprises, Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprises, Top 100 Private Enterprise Manufacturing Enterprises, and Top 100 Global PV Brands. In the future, Tongwei will continue to practice the concept of green development and play a demonstration role as a leading PV enterprise, contributing more power to the global energy transition and the realization of the carbon neutrality goal.
