Leading the N-type Technology Trend: Tongwei Attends the 2025 China (Leshan) Silicon Industry Chain Development Conference
2025-06-28

From June 24 to 26, 2025, the China (Leshan) Silicon Industry Chain Development Conference, hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, was held in Leshan. Under the theme "Technological Innovation for Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement, Industry Collaboration to Forge Ahead," the event invited leading enterprises in the industry to analyze and discuss technological innovation directions, supply and demand trends of primary and auxiliary materials, and the prospects of the photovoltaic and energy storage markets, jointly exploring pathways to overcome challenges. Dr. Long Wei, Director of Tongwei Co., Ltd.'s PV Technology Center, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.

In his keynote speech titled N-Type Solar Cell Module Technology Roadmap, Dr. Long Wei provided an accessible and insightful introduction to the working principles and efficiency limits of solar cells, the technological roadmap of crystalline silicon solar cells, and analyzed and projected the development trends of the photovoltaic industry. He also highlighted Tongwei's numerous technological achievements in the photovoltaic field, which garnered enthusiastic responses from the audience.

Over more than 20 years of development, photovoltaic technology has evolved from the initial aluminum back field to p-type technology, and now, with the emergence of TOPCon, HJT, BC, and other n-type technologies, the transition from p-type to n-type is rapid and profound. Through rapid technological innovation, Tongwei has accumulated core achievements and adapted to the n-type technology iteration, firmly leading the trend in this technological shift.

This year, Tongwei launched its new product, the TNC 2.0 module, with the core concept of "High Efficiency, Reliability, and Sustainability." Benefiting from four major technologies—908 technology (Tongwei's independently developed 0BB technology), TPE technology, Poly Tech, and steel screen printing—the product's performance has been comprehensively improved.

With forward-looking planning and deep technological accumulation, and relying on the advantages of a vertically integrated industrial chain, Tongwei has achieved a full-chain integration from silicon material, silicon wafers, and cells to modules, providing strong collaborative support for technological innovation. In the future, Tongwei will continue to implement its technology-driven strategy, providing stronger impetus for the global energy transition.
