Slovenian Ambassador to China Leads Delegation to Tongwei, Exploring New Opportunities for Green Energy Cooperation

On March 24, H.E. Boštjan Malovrh, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the People’s Republic of China, led a delegation to visit Tongwei, aiming to advance green energy collaboration between Chengdu and Slovenia to new heights. The delegation was warmly received by Feng Chang, Administrative Director and Chairman of the Labor Union of Tongwei Co., Ltd., along with his team. Accompanying the visit were Pang Ruiqi and Huang Junkai, Project Specialists from the Europe Division of Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Zhu Zihan, Head of Sustainable Development at Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Ji Weihua, Head of Module Marketing for Eastern Europe and the Americas at PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd.

The delegation visited Tongwei's exhibition hall and gained in-depth insights into the company’s development in the PV industry, cutting-edge technological innovations, and global strategic layout. As a world-leading enterprise in both aquaculture, feed production, and PV new energy, Tongwei’s achievements in green energy were highly commended by the delegation. Ambassador Malovrh emphasized Slovenia’s strong commitment to renewable energy development and its ongoing energy transition efforts. He noted that China possesses advanced PV technology and extensive experience, presenting vast opportunities for cooperation with Slovenia in green energy. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst to deepen exchanges and collaboration between Slovenia, Chengdu, and Tongwei in the green energy sector, fostering mutual benefits and contributing to sustainable development.


Director Feng Chang extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Boštjan Malovrh and his delegation. He emphasized that Tongwei always upholds the concept of green development and is committed to building a world-class green food supplier and a world-class clean energy company. Slovenia, a key nation along the "Belt and Road" initiative, is at the forefront of ESG principles and adhers to stringent environmental standards in energy project development. The alignment of ESG values between the two parties fostered mutual understanding and trust, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration. It is hoped that both sides will actively explore new opportunities in overseas markets, deepen cooperation, and jointly contribute to the advancement of global green energy.
