On March 20, the PV Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd. announced a remarkable achievement in PV innovation. As tested by TÜV, an international authoritative certification body, Tongwei's TNC-G12R and TNC-G12 modules, two mainstream TOPCon models, have set new records in efficiency and power again. At the standard size of 2382*1134mm, the TNC-G12R achieves a front-side power of 682.8 watts, which is approximately 60 watts higher than the common power of comparable products from mass production currently available in the market, with a conversion efficiency of up to 25.28%. At the standard size of 2384*1303 mm, the TNC-G12 module achieves a power of 778.5 watts, which is also approximately 60 watts higher than the common power, with a conversion efficiency of up to 25.06%.
Breaking the TNC module power record set by Tongwei at the end of December 2024 is mainly ascribed to the deep innovation and integration of TNC cell + module technologies made by the PV technology R&D team. With tube-type PECVD poly-deposition, Poly Tech, EPT passivation, steel screen printing and other technologies, the adaptation and optimization of optical and electrical designs of modules, and high-flux close packing technology of modules, the TNC-G12R 66 module achieves an increase by more than 19.3 watts in power and 0.72% in conversion efficiency, and the TNC-G12 66 module yields an increase by 15.1 watts in power and 0.48% in conversion efficiency. This marks the second TNC module record setting after Tongwei Global Innovation R&D Center was officially established and put into operation. It took only 3 months to break its last record. The powerful driving force of Tongwei technology engine has been deeply confirmed again.

In 2023, Tongwei's "High-efficiency Silicon Passivated Contact Solar Cell (TNC) Technology" was successfully selected into the 2023 PV Industry Innovation Achievement Recommendation Catalog issued by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), as the only TOPCon cell technology in the industry. In 2024, TW Solar's independently developed High-Efficiency N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell achieved a groundbreaking milestone by being recognized as "First Set of Major Technical Equipment in Sichuan Province".
