On March 20, the PV Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd. announced that Tongwei's THC-G12 heterojunction module has achieved the maximum power output of 790.8W in a 2384*1303 mm format, as tested by TÜV, an international authoritative certification authority. The full-area module efficiency reaches 25.46%, which is the currently highest for crystalline silicon modules as tested by authoritative third-party organizations.
Tongwei's PV technology R&D team has always maintained the working attitude and spirit of diligence and prudence and race to the top, and thus realized the re-integration of cell and module technologies within only one month, breaking the record of 783.2W reported on February 21. In terms of cell technology, rear polishing, edge optimization, thinning and other technologies are utilized, making a breakthrough in cell efficiency. In terms of module technology, advanced technologies such as Tongwei 908 busbar-free interconnection technology, ultra-high flux light utilization and ultra-low loss line transmission are used to realize higher light utilization and lower transmission loss of modules. Double effect makes the conversion efficiency of THC-G12 heterojunction module exceed 25.46%.
This breakthrough marks the 11th heterojunction power record set by Tongwei heterojunction module from 2023, and the third heterojunction power record set since the establishment of the Global Innovation R&D Center in June 2024.
As the industry benchmark for heterojunction technology, Tongwei began to lay out heterojunction technology research and development as early as 2018.
