Tongwei Signed Supply Agreement with Generation Green for Projects in the Netherlands
2025-03-19

On March 11, Tongwei signed a supply agreement for high-efficiency PV modules with Generation Green, a renowned renewable energy enterprise in the Netherlands. The agreement was signed by Joost Van Der Plas, founder of Generation Green, and Guo Liming, Head of Module Marketing for the Northwest Europe Region from the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., representing their respective organizations.

As a leading green energy service provider in the Netherlands, Generation Green has extensive expertise in the industrial, commercial, and ground-mounted power station sectors. The decision to collaborate with Tongwei stems from Generation Green's high recognition of Tongwei's leading position and comprehensive capabilities in the PV industry. Tongwei has established an exceptional reputation in the European market through its high-efficiency and reliable module products, robust supply chain capabilities, and consistent delivery performance. Furthermore, Tongwei's continuous commitment to sustainable development aligns closely with Generation Green's green energy philosophy, further facilitating the realization of this partnership.

Joost Van Der Plas, founder of Generation Green, stated, "Through this collaboration, we can not only apply more efficient and reliable PV modules in our projects but also ensure supply chain transparency, which is crucial for us. We believe that Tongwei's technological expertise and supply chain management capabilities will provide us with a long-term competitive advantage, jointly driving the energy transition in the Netherlands and across Europe."

Guo Liming, Head of Module Marketing for the Northwest Europe Region from the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., emphasized that Tongwei's leading technology and high-standard products align perfectly with the stringent requirements for modules in the Dutch market. Leveraging industrial synergy, Tongwei offers European customers dual assurance of "efficiency + reliability" through its green production practices.

The collaboration began negotiations in December 2023 and, after efficient progress, culminated in an agreement during a trade exhibition in the Netherlands. Under the agreement, Tongwei will supply Generation Green with TNC-G12 66HD high-efficiency PV modules, with the first batch of modules to be delivered in May 2025 for application in local ground-mounted projects in the Netherlands. Once operational, the project is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by 28,700 tons, equivalent to planting 157 hectares of forest.

Moreover, with the support of the 908 technology (Tongwei's independently developed 0BB technology), EPT edge passivation technology, stencil printing technology, and Poly Tech technology, Tongwei has fully unlocked the potential of the TNC 2.0 modules, expanding the efficiency boundaries of the modules. This has resulted in simultaneous improvements in module efficiency and bifaciality, laying a solid foundation for future technological iterations and functional expansions. The TNC-G12 modules, incorporating the new TNC 2.0 technology, currently achieve a maximum power output of 765W with a conversion efficiency of 24.6%, while the TNC-G12R modules reach a maximum power output of 670W with a conversion efficiency of 24.8%.

In response to the high demand for supply chain transparency in the Dutch market, Tongwei has firmly secured control over the supply of core photovoltaic raw materials and successfully established a complete, independently developed PV new energy industry chain. As a responsible PV enterprise, Tongwei has achieved significant results in green supply chains, low-carbon supply chains, and responsible supply chains, precisely meeting the needs of Dutch customers. Through industrial synergy, Tongwei ensures full-process traceability and quality control.

Tongwei's supply chain traceability system has not only gained recognition from domestic and international customers but has also received authoritative certifications from third-party institutions such as STS and TÜV Rheinland. Tongwei is the first company to pass the TÜV Rheinland audit in one go and achieve an overall A-grade or higher evaluation across the entire PV supply chain, with the module, wafer, crystal pulling, and silicon material segments receiving the highest AA-grade rating. This outstanding performance demonstrates Tongwei's advanced management system and industry-leading traceability practices.
