From March 5 to 7, 2025, Tongwei made a remarkable appearance at the RE+Mexico exhibition in Mexico, showcasing three groundbreaking products: TNC 2.0 G12/G12R 66HD and THC-G12 66HD. This exhibition not only highlighted Tongwei's technological prowess but also demonstrated a deep response to the market demands of Mexico. With high efficiency, exceptional reliability, and superior degradation control, Tongwei's products are poised to accelerate Mexico's journey toward a zero-carbon future.
TNC 2.0 Series: High-Power Technology Addressing Market Pain Points
As a region experiencing rapid growth in clean energy demand, Mexico has been intensifying its renewable energy deployment in recent years. Market trends are shifting from “scale expansion” to “efficiency upgrades”, driven by challenges such as extreme weather, surging industrial and commercial electricity demand, and government decarbonization goals. These factors have significantly increased the demand for high-power, high-weather-resistance modules.
Leveraging its industrial synergy advantages, Tongwei has prioritized customer-centric, scenario-based needs as a key metric. At this exhibition, Tongwei introduced the TNC-G12/G12R and THC-G12 series modules. From high-purity polysilicon to high-efficiency cells, Tongwei has full control over core technologies, ensuring module efficiency and reliability. The TNC 2.0 series has achieved breakthroughs in both power and efficiency. With the support of TNC 2.0 technology, the TNC-G12 module reaches a maximum power of 765W and an efficiency of 24.6%, while the TNC-G12R module achieves 670W and 24.8% efficiency, solidifying its leading position in the industry. This evolution in performance delivers an optimal value proposition for the Mexican market.
Crossing the Threshold: Technical Confidence Behind Dual Certifications
To ensure products meet energy-saving standards, reduce energy consumption, and improve power efficiency, the Mexican government has established the FIDE certification as a mandatory benchmark for localizing module products. Tongwei has thoroughly understood and complied with the technical specifications for the design, manufacture, and installation of PV equipment set by the Mexican government, strictly adhering to local regulatory and compliance standards. With a “beyond standards” approach, Tongwei has successfully obtained certification, continuously providing reliable photovoltaic solutions to the Mexican market. This underscores Tongwei's sense of responsibility and commitment to quality in the global market.
In addition to global certifications, Tongwei's PV modules have undergone differentiated testing and extreme environment evaluations, demonstrating outstanding weather resistance and corrosion resistance. Even in high-temperature, high-humidity, or salt-spray environments, these modules maintain long-term stable operation, making Tongwei's high-efficiency modules an ideal choice for Mexico's photovoltaic market upgrade. They contribute to the transformation of the local energy structure and sustainable development.
Rooted in Mexico: Empowering from Warehouses to Farmlands with PV
Tongwei's presence in Mexico goes beyond business expansion; it represents a deep integration into the local ecology and society. In collaboration with Mexico's power giant Grupo Dragon, Tongwei has implemented 227 distributed photovoltaic warehouses for the local chain brand Elektra. The first phase of the project was completed in September 2024. Utilizing Tongwei's high-power modules, the project is expected to generate 35.5 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by 33,400 tons and helping enterprises achieve a 30% reduction in electricity costs.
In an 8.8kW distributed PV project at an agricultural university of Mexico, Tongwei has made the implementation of technology more humanistic and warm. In 2023, Tongwei partnered with WADE RAIN to build an 8.8kW distributed PV project at an agricultural university of Mexico. The local area is located in a region facing desertification and water scarcity. While providing energy solutions for local agricultural production, the university's faculty and students actively participated in the installation of the PV system. This hands-on experience has deepened their understanding of renewable energy technology and enhanced their environmental awareness.
From Products to Ecosystems: Tongwei's Green Commitment in Mexico
In Mexico, sunlight is not just a resource but also a responsibility. With technology as its pen and industry as its ink, Tongwei is writing more than a chapter in the energy revolution on this land; it is crafting a narrative of sustainable development and ecological civilization.
