As an important participant and one of the main driving forces for the development of the PV new energy industry in China and even in the world, Tongwei focuses on research and development and innovation of cutting-edge technologies in the PV field, providing strong momentum for the company's sustainable development and global energy green and low-carbon transformation.

In 2024, Tongwei Global Innovation R&D Center was officially put into use. Its research directions cover efficient crystalline silicon cells and materials, efficient and highly reliable modules, PV testing and analysis, and new technologies, with a special focus on the core and cutting-edge technologies in the fields of TNC, THC, TBC cells and modules, copper metallization, perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, and new types of PB modules. On December 15, 2024, following tests conducted by the renowned certification body TÜV, the TNC-Gl2 66-module and TNC-GI2R 66-module of Tongwei, leveraging robust R&D capabilities, achieved front side power outputs of 763.4 watts and 663.5 watts respectively under standard dimensions, with conversion efficiencies reaching 24.58% and 24.56%. This represents a significant improvement of approximately 40 watts over similar modules available on the market, thereby presenting an innovative approach to enhancing the application value of power stations across a variety of scenarios.

Continuous technological innovation and breakthroughs have also made Tongwei modules fully verified and affirmed in the market and highly recognized by customers around the world.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Tongwei TNC-G12/G12R series modules were officially unveiled. On April 10, the first TNC-G12R module was successfully produced at Tongwei Solar Technology Nantong Base. With the rapid response of a mature supply chain system, the world's first batch of TNC-G12R modules was successfully shipped to Switzerland on April 22.

In July 2024, Tongwei and its partners jointly promoted the successful landing of the first N-type 210 large-size module project in Europe. Only 85 days after the first TNC-G12 rolled off the production line, Tongwei has successfully completed the construction of this project with excellent technology and high efficiency production.

In October 2024, TNC-G12R 48 black frame double-glazed modules were shipped from Tongwei Solar Technology Nantong Base to Victoria in Australia and successfully delivered to the partner OSW, marking that Tongwei has further expanded the market influence of its products globally.
