This is the 18th time that the World Brand Lab has measured the impact of Asian brands, and a total of 500 brands from 20 countries and regions have been selected. Toyota, State Grid, and ICBC rounded out the top three, with Haier, Samsung, Tencent, Honda, China Life, Sony, and PetroChina also occupying the top ten spots on the list. Prof. Steve Woolgar, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the World Brand Lab and Professor of Oxford University, analyzed that after the outbreak, the global consumption trend and the sector development pattern have seen great changes. Compared to last year, the number of entries in the finance, diversification, communication services and retail sectors has risen, while sectors such as information technology, media, food & beverages, electronics, electrical appliances, and petrochemicals all saw varying degrees of decline in their numbers. A total of 42 brands from sectors including finance, media, information technology, food & beverages, electronics and electrical appliances were included in the list of The Asia's 500 Most Influential Brands for this year.
