During the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi, CCTV's Middle East channel aired a report focusing on the role and practices of Chinese solar companies — represented by Tongwei — in the Middle East's clean energy transition, drawing wide attention.
The CCTV Middle East report noted that as the Middle East accelerates its energy structure transition, solar and other clean energy sources are becoming key pillars of the regional energy system. Chinese solar companies, with their complete industrial chain systems and continuously iterating technological capabilities, are providing more certain solutions for local clean energy projects.

In the interview, Chen Fangzhou, head of overseas module marketing at Tongwei's Photovoltaic Business Division, stated that the Middle East is accelerating its energy diversification. Clean energy has shifted from a supplementary option to an integral part of the region's long-term development strategy. The accumulated expertise of Chinese solar companies in technology maturity, industrial synergy, and large-scale delivery experience is providing reliable support for clean energy projects across the Middle East and Africa.
This assessment is grounded in Tongwei's long-term, deep engagement with the Middle East and Africa markets. Tongwei has been continuously expanding across multiple African countries, with batch after batch of high-efficiency, reliable TNC series modules being deployed in ground-mounted power stations, commercial and industrial rooftops, and residential energy projects.

In 2025, Tongwei's first large-scale ground-mounted solar project in Africa was completed and put into operation. The company also drove the delivery of large-scale ground-mounted power station projects such as Saudi Arabia's PIF4 project, while continuing to deepen its presence in the regional distributed market, responding to the market's core demand for long-term returns and system stability with high-efficiency, reliable module products.
Against the backdrop of clean energy construction in the Middle East and Africa entering a phase of large-scale, long-term development, market attention to module efficiency and system returns is shifting from "feasibility verification" to "long-term value realization." It was precisely within this industry context that, during the Abu Dhabi WFES, Tongwei unveiled its TNC 3.0 high-efficiency modules globally for the first time — marking not only the continued evolution of Tongwei's high-efficiency module technology roadmap, but also clearly signaling to the world its forward-looking product strategy.

In the ongoing optimization of solar levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), module efficiency remains the key variable determining the boundaries of system value. Centered on this core objective, the TNC 3.0 achieves further breakthroughs in power and efficiency: the G12R-66 format reaches a maximum power output of 670W with a conversion efficiency of 24.8%; the G12-66 format reaches a maximum power output of 770W with a conversion efficiency of 24.8%, placing it at the industry's leading edge among 210-size modules. This provides a more certain technological choice for large-scale ground-mounted power stations and high-efficiency utilization scenarios across the Middle East and Africa.
As clean energy construction and market demand in the Middle East and Africa enter a sustained growth phase, Tongwei will continue to build on its high-efficiency modules and stable delivery capabilities, deepen local partnerships, participate in the long-term development of the regional energy system, and inject more robust and enduring solar momentum into the green transition of the Middle East and Africa.
