Since 2022, TaiyangNews has published the mass-produced module efficiency ranking, aiming to help the global market identify and track the most efficient PV module products. To this end further, TaiyangNews also launched the "Badge of Excellence Program" in 2023. Under the program, if a product appears on the "Top 10 Highest Efficiency Commercial Solar Modules" list for at least 6 months in a year, its manufacturer will be granted the Badge of Excellence. This year, Tongwei was once again included in the list for its TNC and THC series modules, earning the honor for the second consecutive year. In addition, Tongwei’s self-developed "High-Efficiency N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell" has been recognized as the "First Set of Major Technical Equipment in Sichuan Province" by virtue of its technological advancement and innovation in the field of PV cells, which marks the first inclusion of solar cell products in the category since Sichuan began its recognition process for major technical equipment in 2013, achieving a significant breakthrough in this category.

In December 2024, Tongwei's two mainstream TNC modules set new records for power and efficiency in the industry. Tongwei's TNC-G12 66 module achieved a front-side power of 763.4 W at a standard size of 2384 * 1303 mm, surpassing similar modules on the market by approximately 40 W, with a conversion efficiency reaching 24.58%. Meanwhile, Tongwei's TNC-G12R 66 module achieved a front-side power of 663.5 W at a standard size of 2382 * 1134 mm, also surpassing similar products on the market by about 40 W, with a conversion efficiency of up to 24.56%. These modules further solidify the company's leadership in TOPCon technology.
