On September 22, the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises Conference was held in Tianjin. The “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” list is compiled based on the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC)’s annual survey of large-scale private enterprises, with companies ranked in descending order by total annual operating revenue. As one of the most authoritative and comprehensive rankings of China’s private economy, the list is widely regarded as a “barometer” of China’s private sector.

This year, the ACFIC conducted its 28th survey of large-scale private enterprises, attracting the participation of 6,350 companies with operating revenues of more than RMB 1 billion in 2025. The 500 companies with the highest operating revenues were included in the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises list. The companies on this year’s list recorded combined operating revenue of RMB 44.93 trillion, an increase of 4.35% year on year. A total of 110 companies reported operating revenues exceeding RMB 100 billion, five more than the previous year, while 12 companies exceeded RMB 500 billion, one more than the previous year. In terms of total assets, 99 companies had assets exceeding RMB 100 billion, an increase of two from the previous year, while 17 companies had assets exceeding RMB 500 billion, one more than the previous year. Among the China Top 500 Private Enterprises, 29 were included in this year’s Fortune Global 500.
