The dispatch of the first truckload of modules for the Dama Solar project from Tongwei Solar Technology’s Nantong facility marks the transition of the strategic partnership into the actual delivery phase.

Located in Arad County in western Romania, the Dama Solar project has a planned installed capacity of approximately 1.36 GWp. Upon completion, it will become one of the largest standalone solar projects in Europe. As a major module supplier for the project, Tongwei will provide 846 MW of high-efficiency modules. This cooperation represents another significant project milestone for Tongwei in Europe’s large-scale ground-mounted solar market and demonstrates the company’s extensive experience and comprehensive capabilities in large-scale project supply, product technology, and delivery assurance.

Once operational, the Dama Solar project is expected to generate approximately 1,800 GWh of electricity annually, significantly enhancing the local renewable energy supply and providing strong momentum for the transition of the energy mix. Meanwhile, its enormous scale and long operating life place higher demands on module power generation efficiency, environmental adaptability, and long-term operational reliability.

The project will use Tongwei’s high-efficiency TNC 3.0 modules, which combine advanced solar cell technology with a four-cut cell design to deliver both high power output and operational reliability, supporting the power station’s stable, long-term electricity generation.

Rezolv Energy CEO Alastair Hammond stated that gigawatt-scale projects impose stringent requirements on product quality consistency and quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Leveraging its vertically integrated industrial chain and large-scale manufacturing system, Tongwei applies quality management throughout the entire production process and organizes production and supply coordination in line with project requirements, providing strong support for the smooth implementation of the project.

The progress of the Dama Solar project further strengthens cooperation between Tongwei, international energy investment institutions, and clean energy developers. By combining their respective strengths across the industry value chain, all parties are working together to advance the implementation of large-scale clean energy projects.

Looking ahead, Tongwei will continue to leverage its advanced manufacturing capabilities, high-efficiency and reliable products, and global service network to actively participate in clean energy projects worldwide and contribute to global sustainable development.
