Agricultural branding helps promote standardized agricultural production, industrialized operations, and market-oriented marketing, serving as an important pathway to enhance agricultural quality and efficiency and increase farmers' income.
The year 2025 marks a period of concentrated policy dividends release for agricultural modernization, steering brand development from a national strategic perspective: The Central Document No. 1 of 2025, Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Further Deepening Rural Reform and Solidly Advancing All-Round Rural Revitalization, explicitly calls for the "implementation of the Premium Agricultural Brand Cultivation Program," underscoring the powerful role of brand-building in supporting agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is intensively promoting the Premium Agricultural Brand Cultivation Program (2022–2025), accelerating the formation of a cultivation list for approximately 300 premium brands. Simultaneously, the State Administration for Market Regulation is refining national standards such as Brand Valuation―Agricultural Products, while the China National Intellectual Property Administration has opened a "green channel" for geographical indication registrations. Multiple departments are collaborating to build a new ecosystem for brand development characterized by "standard leadership, tiered cultivation, and financial empowerment."
