Government Official: Tongwei Undergoes Healthy Development

Representatives of over 300 well-known Sichuan private enterprises gathered for discussion on current economic situation on December 2. Board Chairman of Tongwei Group, Mr. Liu Hanyuan was invited to give speech about the ongoing financial crisis at the meeting. Mr. Liu mentioned, as the world economy continues to be overshadowed by the global financial crisis, the Photovoltaic industry is also being adversely affected. The increasing international and domestic demands for clean energy and renewable energy resources, however, will not change. For this reason, Government should fully support the development of PV industry. Enterprises and banking corporations need to reach consensus on bank credits for PV projects. Tongwei will seize the opportunity and take advantage of its technical strength to advance its new energy business. The government official at the meeting fully agreed with Mr. Liu and gave positive comments on Tongwei’s contributions and healthy development as an industry-leading example.
