Tongwei “Siyuan•Sunshine Project” Awarded

The China Philanthropy Conference was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 5th, December,2008. Tongwei “Siyuan•Sunshine Project” received China’s Charity Award at the conference for its outstanding contributions to the country’s charity work. Initiated in 2007 by Tongwei Group, the project aims to send high-quality, high-efficiency and eco-friendly household electricity to underdeveloped regions, especially densely inhabited areas of ethnic minorities. In 2008 alone, it helped build several solar energy plants in underdeveloped regions. It also played significant role in Sichuan earthquake relief work.
