Strengthen the Industrial Chain, Achieve Two 100-Billion-Yuan GDP Leaps in 5 Years

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yibin adhered to the guidance of new-type industrialization, strongly driving its GDP to cross two 100-billion-yuan milestones, break through the 400-billion-yuan mark, and steadily rank 3rd in Sichuan Province. Apart from deepening the power battery industry, Yibin also seized the window opportunity of the PV industry's transition from P-type to N-type cells, selected promising tracks, identified reliable partners, and built complete industrial clusters. It has formed a PV industrial ecosystem with 50GW silicon ingot capacity, 55GW silicon wafer capacity, 58GW cell capacity and 7GW module capacity, taking the lead in becoming the region with the most complete PV supporting facilities in Sichuan.

According to the 2026 H1 economic data, Yibin's industrial added value maintained rapid growth, with the added value of industries above designated size rising by 5.9% year on year. In terms of key industries, the power battery sector grew by 37.8%, new energy storage by 24.9%, and crystalline silicon PV by 10.2%.
