From December 1 to 3, the 8th International Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cell Workshop and 1st International Perovskite Silicon Tandem Solar Cell Workshop, along with the Tandem PV Special Forum 2025, were held in Daejeon, South Korea. The event was jointly organized by SNEC, the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), and the Forschungszentrum Jülich from Germany. Dr. Long Wei from the PV Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd. was invited to deliver a keynote speech, showcasing Tongwei's leading achievements and industrialization strategies in heterojunction (HJT) technology to the global PV industry.

During the forum, Dr. Long Wei delivered a keynote speech titled Roadmap for 780W+ Silicon Heterojunction Solar Modules. He systematically outlined Tongwei's HJT technological development plan, analyzed current market competition and technical challenges facing HJT, and proposed an industrialization pathway targeting 780W+ high-power modules. Meanwhile, he highlighted multiple technological innovations, including key process breakthroughs such as asymmetric textured structure, edge isolation optimization, stencil printing for improved aspect ratio and uniformity, and light-induced curing for enhanced conductivity.

Beyond HJT, Dr. Long Wei introduced Tongwei's roadmap for TOPCon, XBC, and perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, covering progress on the world's first fully automated 5MW tandem cell pilot production line. TOPCon, HJT, and XBC technologies will jointly advance the PV industry across differentiated application scenarios, and Tongwei plans to launch mass-produced 780W-class HJT modules by 2026, providing global customers with higher-yield power generation solutions.
