Tongwei PV Technology Museum Selected as One of Chengdu's First Batch of Industrial Tourism Innovation Scenes
2025-12-01

On November 27, at the "Promotion Event for Chengdu's First Batch of Industrial Tourism Innovation Scenes" jointly organized under the guidance of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and the Chengdu Industrial Culture Development Center, the Tongwei PV Technology Museum was successfully selected as one of the city's first ten industrial tourism innovation scenes. Thanks to its immersive green energy experience space created through the integration of "PV + cultural tourism," the museum was awarded alongside other sites representing Chengdu's advanced manufacturing level, such as the Large Aircraft (Sichuan) Research and Study Camp and CATL "NING Space." Together, these sites highlight the innovative transformation of Chengdu's industrial tourism—from simple "visiting" to interactive "experiencing," and from traditional "manufacturing" to forward-looking "intelligent manufacturing."

The Tongwei PV Technology Museum is seamlessly connected with the visitor corridor of TW Solar's Smart Factory, forming a distinctive "one museum, one corridor" industrial culture experience route. Visitors can not only learn about the remarkable journey of China's PV industry—from its early reliance on foreign material suppliers, technology providers, and markets to becoming a proud "Chinese calling card"—but also witness firsthand the entire intelligent manufacturing process, from silicon wafers to high‑efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells, through the corridor. This offers them a close‑up experience of the technological charm of Industry 4.0.
