Recently, the 2026 Forum on Industrial Integration and Development of Perovskite and Tandem Solar Cells, themed "Stable Efficiency Collaboration, Joint Development Through Convergence", was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The forum brought together industry leaders and experts from domestic and foreign enterprises, government agencies, research institutes and investment institutions to discuss the key path for perovskite technology to transition from the laboratory to industrialization. Dr. Yifeng Zhang, Chief Engineer of Tongwei Co., Ltd.'s Photovoltaic Technology Center, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.

During the forum, Dr. Zhang presented a keynote speech titled Mass Production Progress Report of Tongwei Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Cells and Modules. He introduced that in September 2025, Tongwei's Global Innovation R&D Center completed the industry's first fully automatic megawatt-scale perovskite-silicon tandem cell pilot line and achieved full line operation. The pilot line covers the entire production process from cells to modules, laying a solid technical and engineering foundation for the subsequent construction of a 100-megawatt-scale pilot production line.

In terms of cell efficiency, Dr. Zhang presented Tongwei's latest R&D achievements in perovskite-silicon tandem cells. As of March 2026, the efficiency of small-size tandem cells has reached 34.94%. Meanwhile, major progress has been made in commercial-size tandem cells, which carry greater industrial significance, with their full-area conversion efficiency breaking through 31.08%. These data mark Tongwei's sustained leadership in the core technology of tandem cells. In the future, the development of Tongwei's perovskite-silicon tandem cells will closely integrate with the company's characteristic technical system, and is committed to establishing a complete set of technical systems for tandem power generation. The next step will focus on overcoming long-term reliability, which is the bottleneck for industrialization, and continue to promote the mass production transformation of perovskite-silicon tandem cells.
