Recently, Tongwei Solar (Meishan) Co., Ltd. has achieved another milestone by successfully passing the formal assessment of Level 4 (Optimization Level) in the national Capability Maturity Model for Intelligent Manufacturing (CMMM) evaluation, becoming one of the first enterprises in the photovoltaic manufacturing industry to receive this certification. This marks another key achievement in the company's intelligent manufacturing development after it was named a "Global Lighthouse Factory" by the World Economic Forum in September 2025.

The CMMM assessment is carried out in accordance with two Chinese national standards: GB/T 39116-2020 Capability Maturity Model for Intelligent Manufacturing and GB/T 39117-2020 Assessment Method for Capability Maturity of Intelligent Manufacturing. Since the release of the standards in 2020, more than 90,000 enterprises across China have completed self-diagnosis, and over 700 enterprises have passed on-site expert evaluation, making it one of the most widely adopted evaluation systems in China's intelligent manufacturing sector. Level 4 (Optimization Level) is the second-highest rating in the standard, requiring enterprises to realize cross-business data sharing and collaboration, as well as in-depth analysis and optimization based on data models.

On November 28, 2025, the expert assessment panel completed the on-site review of Meishan's operations, and fully recognized the company's intelligent manufacturing system construction, data application capabilities and continuous improvement mechanism across process design, production manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, energy management, and equipment operation.

From "Global Lighthouse Factory" to passing CMMM Level 4 assessment, these two accomplishments reflect the company's continuous advancement in digital transformation and deepening of intelligent manufacturing construction. The assessment results further validate the effectiveness of Tongwei's practices in applying artificial intelligence, big data, industrial internet and other technologies, and demonstrate the company's systematic capability in continuously building a manufacturing operation system centered on "data-driven and intelligent optimization".

Since its establishment, starting from basic units including workshops, production lines and management systems, Meishan base has continuously promoted the implementation of intelligent manufacturing concepts, and gradually built an intelligent operation system covering the entire value chain, laying a solid foundation for passing the CMMM Level 4 assessment.
