1GW Agreement Signed! Tongwei and Poland's Largest Distributor KENO Join Forces to Enhance the Value of Every Single Kilowatt-Hour
2026-03-18

Recently, Tongwei has officially signed a 1GW module cooperation agreement with KENO Sp. z o.o., Poland's largest photovoltaic distributor. Ji Weihua, Head of Module Marketing for Eastern Europe and the Americas at Tongwei Co., Ltd.'s PV Business Department, and Paweł Grzegorczyk, CEO of KENO, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. This cooperation will further deepen Tongwei's layout in the European market, accelerate the promotion and implementation of high-efficiency modules in Eastern Europe, and provide solid product support for local energy transition.

The cooperation between the two parties began in 2020. In 2024, they launched cooperation on half-cut module products, and upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2025 covering product supply, market expansion and channel collaboration, with each step marking deeper engagement. This growing trust has been underpinned by Tongwei's relentless innovation and improvement in product technology.

A true cost-killer for levelized cost of energy (LCOE) must deliver reliable performance across all weather conditions. Take Tongwei's newly launched TNC 3.0 high-efficiency module as an example: during early morning, overcast/rainy days and dusk – periods when conventional modules start to underperform – TNC 3.0 modules still efficiently capture light and sustain power generation. Over the entire lifecycle of a power plant, this accumulated extra power generation represents a significant additional revenue stream.

The project is located in Eastern Europe and will fully adopt Tongwei's high-efficiency modules.

For the Polish market, modules also face challenges during transportation and installation. Long-distance land transportation, rooftop installation, and windy and snowy weather conditions can all affect module performance. The flexible buffer layer design between TNC 3.0 cells greatly reduces the risk of module microcracks. In addition, even if microcracks occur, the quarter-cut design reduces the affected area by 50% compared to conventional designs, ensuring stable module output even in windy and snowy conditions.

Tongwei's new-generation TNC 3.0 technology products are accelerating their expansion into the global market. Through design innovations such as multi-cutting, TNC 3.0 achieves further improvements in power output, system reliability and long-term power generation capacity, providing the European market with high-quality solutions that deliver more power generation and continuously unlock the long-term value of photovoltaic systems.
