Second Cooperation! Tongwei Signs 200MW High-Efficiency Module Agreement with Italy’s Largest Distributor Coenergia
2026-03-12

Against the backdrop of accelerating energy transition across Europe, Italy’s photovoltaic (PV) market is entering a new growth cycle. During KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2026, Tongwei once again joined hands with Coenergia, a leading Italian PV distributor, and officially signed a cooperation agreement for 200MW high-efficiency PV modules.

Chen Fangzhou, Head of Overseas Module Sales at the PV Commercial Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Carlo Moretti, Chief Executive Officer of Coenergia, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. This cooperation will further consolidate their partnership in the Italian market and accelerate the application and deployment of high-efficiency PV modules in Southern Europe.

As a pioneer in renewable energy in Europe, Italy plans to increase its PV installed capacity to 80GW by 2030, with distributed projects accounting for over 60%. High electricity prices, limited land resources, and policy support for low-carbon technologies have driven a surge in market demand for PV modules featuring “high efficiency, low emissions, and easy installation”. Responding to this demand, Tongwei has continuously upgraded its new-generation module technologies. Taking the TNC 3.0 module as an example, it delivers not only higher quality but also greater power generation.

As the distributor with the largest market share in Italy, Coenergia targets the pain points in Italy: dense industrial and commercial rooftops and limited residential rooftop space. The TNC 3.0 module achieves a conversion efficiency of over 24.8% and a maximum power output of 670W. Under the same installation conditions, Tongwei’s TNC 3.0 modules enable higher installed capacity and power generation, effectively bringing more electricity revenue.According to calculations, in Rome, TNC 3.0 modules can generate an additional 3.37 million kWh of electricity per year on average compared with conventional modules*.

*Calculation conditions: 100MW ground-mounted power plant in Rome, Italy; 320kW string inverter with tracker; local feed-in tariff calculated at 0.51 RMB/kWh.

TNC 3.0 delivers not only high power output but also outstanding reliability. High temperature is one of the toughest challenges for PV modules: for every 1°C rise in temperature, the output power of most modules decreases slightly—a loss often overlooked but reflected in annual electricity bills. The TNC 3.0 optimizes the temperature coefficient to -0.26%/°C, leading among similar products. Even in extreme heat—scorching deserts, steaming urban rooftops, and stuffy summers for distributed power stations—the TNC 3.0 maintains a stable output curve without “high-temperature power loss”. Over the summer, this advantage translates into visible extra power generation and calculable economic benefits.

It is precisely such technological strength that has brought the two sides together again. The 200MW cooperation scale marks the continuation of mutual trust and a new step forward in the large-scale deployment of Tongwei’s high-efficiency modules in the Southern European market.
