In spring, Rimini basks in sunlight stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the city center. Energy enterprises from around the world gather at KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, seeking new solutions for Europe’s energy transition. Tongwei showcased a range of high-efficiency modules led by TNC 3.0 in Italy, presenting Tongwei’s answer: Superior Quality, More Power Generation.

TNC 3.0: Next-Generation Module Technology Debuts in Europe
At the presentation, Tongwei introduced the core upgrading philosophy of TNC 3.0: not single-point breakthroughs, but overall coordination of cell and module structure. The adoption of the four-cut cell design is like dividing a wide road into four lanes, greatly reducing congestion and internal power loss, so that more sunlight can be converted into electricity. With a bifaciality of 85±5%, the module harvests not only direct front-side irradiance but also reflected light from the ground and surroundings, delivering extra power gain.
This means that, with the same rooftop area and the same irradiation conditions, TNC 3.0 generates more electricity, directly translating into higher revenue from feed-in tariffs or greater savings on self-consumption.According to calculations, in Rome, TNC 3.0 modules can generate an additional 3.37 million kWh of electricity per year on average* compared with conventional modules.
Calculation conditions: 100 MW ground-mounted power plant in Rome, Italy; 320 kW string inverter with tracker; local feed-in tariff calculated at 0.51 RMB/kWh.

In real operating environments, high temperature is another major challenge for modules: power efficiency declines as temperature rises.Tongwei has optimized module performance accordingly: TNC 3.0 achieves an improved temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, ensuring more stable performance under high temperatures and lower power loss in summer compared with standard modules.
Simply put, while conventional modules “suffer heat-induced underperformance” at high temperatures, TNC 3.0 maintains strong power output. The accumulated extra generation over summer months creates a visible profit gap.Against the backdrop of global warming and frequent extreme heat, the performance bottleneck of ordinary modules has become increasingly prominent. Thanks to its low temperature coefficient, Tongwei TNC 3.0 delivers stronger environmental adaptability, maintaining stable output in hot deserts, urban concrete rooftops, and stuffy distributed power plants in summer, turning every ray of sunlight efficiently into value.
The lower the temperature coefficient, the more reliable performance in summer.Tongwei TNC 3.0 enables power plants not only to avoid underperformance in the hottest season but also to become top performers in revenue generation.

“A Letter from the Arctic”: Speaking Up for Polar Ecosystems
At the booth, a quiet yet warm interaction took place — “A Letter from the Arctic”.

As part of the Arctic Conservation and Renewable Energy Development Cooperation Project launched by Tongwei together with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), visitors were invited to write postcards with messages for the Arctic ecosystem. These cards were displayed on a shared wall, forming a chorus across distances.

As the world’s first Chinese private enterprise to join WWF’s Arctic Protection Program and a PV enterprise with long-term in-depth cooperation on climate and energy initiatives, Tongwei addresses climate challenges through technological innovation and industrial practices, advancing clean energy development and ecological protection along the same path.
Client Sharing: First-Hand Voice from the European Market

Giuseppe Auguadro, Founder and General Manager of EEN S.r.l., shared at the event that requirements in the European market are quietly evolving:high efficiency is a basic threshold, while long-term operational stability has become the key concern repeatedly raised by customers. For developers and end-users, the real logic behind project selection is whether modules can perform reliably under various real-world conditions.
Market feedback gives weight to technical discussions, and stable power generation is becoming the most straightforward and powerful driver for project implementation. This is exactly what TNC 3.0 is designed to deliver.
As sunlight from the Adriatic Sea shines on Rimini once again, Tongwei hopes that with every high-quality module, no ray of light will be wasted.
