From January 13 to 15, Tongwei made the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi the first stop of its global expansion journey, marking the global debut of the TNC 3.0 module series. This milestone officially opens a new chapter for TNC 3.0 in the international market.

Global Debut of TNC 3.0 in 2026

As one of the key highlights of the exhibition, TNC 3.0 was unveiled to the global market for the first time in Abu Dhabi. The launch not only demonstrates Tongwei's continuous advancement in high-efficiency module technology but also clearly communicates its forward-looking product strategy to the global PV industry.

Amid the industry-wide pursuit of lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE), module efficiency remains a critical factor in determining overall system value. The TNC 3.0 G12R-66 model delivers a maximum power output of 670 W with a conversion efficiency of 24.8%, while the TNC 3.0 GI 2-66 model achieves a maximum power of 770 W at the same efficiency level—setting a new benchmark for 210 module efficiency.

The efficiency gains of TNC 3.0 translate directly into higher power generation and increased revenue per module. At the system level, these improvements further drive chain optimizations across land utilization, mounting structures, and cable configuration, unlocking greater overall project profitability.

New Cooperation! Tongwei Signs High-Efficiency Module Cooperation Agreement

During the exhibition, Tongwei signed a 2026 high-efficiency module cooperation agreement with Arab Consulting Office (ACO). The signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by Aya Zanaty, Chairman of ACO, and Du Weiwei, Head of Module Marketing for the Middle East and Africa at the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd. The agreement was formally signed by Ahmed Khaled, General Manager of ACO, and Zhang Hanwen, Head of Module Marketing for the Middle East Distributed Generation and Africa at the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., on behalf of both parties.

This agreement further clarifies the direction of cooperation in the application and market synergy of Tongwei's high-efficiency modules. Looking ahead, both parties will continue to deepen collaboration based on their existing partnership, jointly exploring the value potential of high-efficiency modules across diverse application scenarios and providing strong practical support for the long-term development of clean energy.

Authoritative Recognition丨Sector Certification Awarded

During the exhibition, Li Weichun, Global Vice President of Power Electronics Product Services and Vice President of Solar & Commercial Products Greater China at TÜV Rheinland Group, presented Tongwei with a water footprint verification statement. The certificate was accepted on behalf of Tongwei by Chen Fangzhou, Head of Overseas Module Marketing at the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd.

As the first enterprise in China's PV industry to complete a full life-cycle product verification, Tongwei successfully passed the "cradle-to-grave" water footprint verification in accordance with the ISO 14046:2014 international standard. This achievement is underpinned by Tongwei's comprehensive, full-chain water resource management capabilities spanning silicon material, silicon rod, silicon wafer, cell, and module manufacturing. This certification not only highlights the strong sustainability attributes of Tongwei's products but also establishes a new industry benchmark for green and low-carbon development in the global PV sector.

Under the intense sunlight of Abu Dhabi—where desert sands meet a rapidly growing city— energy is not merely about generation capacity, but about whether PV modules can maintain high efficiency, reliability, and stability under extreme environmental conditions and long-term operation.

During the product-themed sharing session, Mr. Yang Junsheng, Product Marketing Manager at the Module Marketing Product Management Division of PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., systematically elaborated on the technical advantages and customer value of TNC 3.0. He explained how the TNC 3.0 modules, through innovative applications in PV technology and manufacturing, further strengthen the foundation for long-term operation.

Addressing the adaptation challenges of tracker scenarios in the Middle East and Africa, Chen Yuchen, Senior Engineer of Technical Support for Module Marketing at the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech on the "Tongwei G12 Module–Tracker Solution." The solution effectively resolves G12 compatibility issues and achieves a breakthrough in overall cost optimization. Breaking away from the traditional design approach that focuses solely on pursuing the sum of single-string module power, the Tongwei solution emphasizes global system optimization. By reducing the number of modules per string while increasing the total number of modules and overall power per tracker, the solution not only enhances tracker system cost performance but also effectively reduces initial capital expenditure and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for power plant owners across the entire project life cycle.
