They collectively reflected on the memorable year of 2025, envisioned the future, and discussed development opportunities.

On-site exchange between Chairman Liu Hanyuan and media friends
Chairman Liu Hanyuan communicated warmly with media friends, highlighting that through the joint efforts of the PV and energy storage sectors, the combined cost of PV and energy storage in economically developed regions like Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang has fallen below that of coal power. This achievement has accelerated the installation of new PV capacity. In this process, China's "New Trio," represented by new energy vehicles, PV, and lithium batteries, has emerged as globally leading industries with the strongest development momentum, largest scale, lowest costs, and highest quality. Consequently, China is well-positioned to achieve integrated generation-storage-supply with time-shifting, storing part of PV-generated electricity for selling at different times. Currently, the economic viability of China's power grid is fundamentally established, though the institutional mechanisms and PV-storage enterprises require a period of adaptation and adjustment. With further refinement of institutional mechanisms enabling integrated generation, storage, and transmission within the grid, balancing user economics under market conditions, coupled with advancing carbon tariffs and green certificate systems, the integration of generation-storage-supply will accelerate. This progress could potentially propel China towards achieving carbon neutrality around 2050. Simultaneously, it is estimated that for humanity to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, annual new PV installations must expand to at least 5-10 times today's scale. This outlook warrants optimism, as the future of PV promises even brighter prospects.

A visit to the Experience Center of Tongwei Group

A visit to Tongwei PV Technology Museum
During the event, media friends also visited the Experience Center of Tongwei Group and the Tongwei PV Technology Museum. Through data displays, model demonstrations, and scenario-based content, they systematically gained insights into Tongwei's overall strength and practical achievements in industrial chain layout, upstream-downstream collaboration, and technological innovation.
At the evening banquet of the Media Networking Event, Mr. Huang expressed his sincere gratitude to media friends for their ongoing support and concern, on behalf of Chairman Liu Hanyuan. He stated that over the past 43 years, Tongwei has continuously solidified its global leadership in aquatic feed, high-purity crystalline silicon, and high-efficiency cells. In 2025, Tongwei once again secured its position on the Fortune Global 500 list, becoming an enterprise consecutively ranked for three years across the global PV and aquaculture industries. For the first time, it topped the list of Sichuan enterprises in China's Top 500 Private Enterprises. Its brand value surpassed RMB 250 billion, retaining its global leadership in both PV and aquaculture while maintaining its presence on the World's 500 Most Influential Brands list for three consecutive years. The China International PV and Energy Storage Industry Conference has been successfully held for eight consecutive years, solidifying its status as one of the world's top three international PV and energy storage events alongside Shanghai SNEC and Intersolar Europe in Munich. During this extraordinary year, Tongwei forged ahead under pressure and achieved comprehensive progress across all fronts. These developments and accomplishments owe much to the steadfast support and dedicated partnership of our media friends, as well as your invaluable support to Tongwei's growth, communication efforts, and brand building. Looking ahead, Tongwei looks forward to continuing this journey alongside you to scale new heights together.

Speech by Huang Qigang, Party Secretary and Vice President of Tongwei Group
At the banquet, media friends also shared their profound affection for Tongwei, which has been growing alongside them. Zou Hui, Director of Sichuan Branch of China News Service, stated in his speech that 2025 is an extraordinary year marked by complex and volatile international and domestic situations. However, Tongwei has remained true to its original aspiration, forged ahead courageously, and achieved new development milestones. As we step into 2026, he wished that Tongwei would continue to resonate with the country's development in harmony, lead the way, and create greater brilliance. He also extended his blessings for media professionals to join hands with Tongwei, progress together, and maintain everlasting friendship. Li Yonghong, Founder of Dacheng Industrial Economy, noted that Tongwei has been hosting media networking events for over two decades, fostering deep and sincere friendships with both new and old media friends. As a perennial leading private enterprise in China, Tongwei has conducted its work with remarkable success. He looked forward to collaborating with such an outstanding company to jointly set new benchmarks for media-enterprise cooperation.
This media symposium is not only a heartfelt reunion but also a gathering of confidence and strength. Standing at a new starting point of development, Tongwei will continue to join hands with media friends to document the footprints of industrial development with authentic writing and convey the strong voice of China's photovoltaic industry through vivid narratives. Together, we will write more splendid chapters of unity and progress on the path of promoting high-quality development of the industry, advancing global energy transition, and contributing to human sustainable development.
