In the fourth quarter of 2025, an extreme weather test unfolded in Wenchang, Hainan. We collaborated with the third-party organization CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) to track the follow-up impacts of a series of storms. Tongwei modules delivered a perfect performance.

The Extreme Test: Starting with Typhoon Matmo

In October 2025, the super typhoon "Matmo" (a Category 2-equivalent typhoon) made landfall in Wenchang, Hainan, with local gusts reaching 43m/s. The Tongwei Wenchang PV Demonstration Base, located directly in the core path of the storm, underwent a "stress test" that exceeded conventional standards. After the storm, CQC testing confirmed that all 28 Tongwei TNC modules at the demonstration base remained intact, passing 100% of visual inspections, EL tests, and infrared detection.

Backend power generation data showed that, before and after the typhoon, the power generation curves under the same meteorological conditions were highly consistent, with stable module output power. This proves that not only were the modules' exteriors undamaged, but their internal performance also did not degrade due to the extreme impact.

This was not a stroke of luck, but an inevitable result of forward-looking design and precise verification.
