On December 25-26, the 2025 the 11th China Agricultural Brand Annual Ceremony was grandly held at the Tongwei International Center in Chengdu. Guo Yizhong, President of the Sichuan Agricultural Industry Development Promotion Association, President of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sector of Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Chairman of TWAD Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony. During the event, Cheng Xing, Deputy General Manager of Tongwei Fishery, delivered a presentation titled "Whole-Chain Layout, Win-Win Cooperation" to promote Tongwei's shrimp industry. He shared the industrialized recirculating aquaculture solution for shrimp, demonstrated the full-chain layout of shrimp production, and called for industry collaboration to jointly explore new opportunities in the blue ocean of industrial development.

Deputy General Manager Cheng Xing stated that with the continuous growth of China's per capita aquatic product consumption, domestic demand for South American white shrimp is expected to reach 5–6 million tons in the next 3–5 years, with an estimated market gap of 2 million tons. The South American white shrimp must rapidly achieve large-scale farming, improve breeding efficiency, and reduce production costs. Semi-industrialized greenhouse shrimp farming and fully industrialized farming, with their relatively stable breeding environments and high unit yields, are likely to become the dominant breeding models in the future, with scales continuing to expand.

Tongwei Fishery Industrialized Farming Base

Deputy General Manager Cheng Xing noted that since its establishment in 2022, Tongwei Fishery has aimed to become a shrimp farming enterprise with an annual output of millions of tons, focusing on industrialized recirculating water shrimp farming. Tongwei Fishery has adopted a development layout starting from coastal areas and extending to inland regions, staying close to consumer markets, and combining self-operated farming with a "company+" model to achieve rapid growth. Currently, Tongwei's industrialized shrimp farming projects have reached a total water volume of approximately 193,900 cubic meters in operational and under-construction bases nationwide, with an annual output of about 10,000 tons, making Tongwei the world's largest producer of South American white shrimp industrialized recirculating water systems. In June this year, Tongwei Fishery launched its branded shrimp operations, prominently introducing products such as Tongwei's fully antibiotic-free live-frozen shrimp and Tongwei's sashimi-grade butterfly shrimp.

Tongwei Clearwater Shrimp Industrialized Farming Workshop

As the only product in China to hold certification for raw consumption, Tongwei Clearwater Shrimp is raised in recirculating aquaculture systems with no algae or sediment. This results in shrimp meat with a fresh, sweet flavor and no earthy/muddy aftertaste. Not only is the shrimp rich in selenium, astaxanthin, and other nutrients beneficial to human health, but feed management is also strictly controlled to ensure clean intestinal tracts, making it convenient for consumption. The shrimp are fed custom-formulated Tongwei feed, which has its protein content increased to 48% and incorporates high-quality fishmeal to boost amino acid levels—further enhancing the fresh, sweet taste of the shrimp meat.

Currently, Tongwei Clearwater Shrimp has established deep partnerships with online supermarkets and e-commerce platforms such as Dingdong Maicai and East Buy. Despite high market recognition and strong consumer demand, supply continues to fall short of demand.
