From December 22 to 24, the 10th Forum on Perovskite Technological Innovation and Ecological Win-Win Strategic Development, organized by LT.TESTPV.COM, was held in Hefei, Anhui. Dr. Luo Haowen, Senior R&D Engineer at the PV Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd., was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech, sharing innovative achievements and promoting industrial collaboration.

At the forum, Dr. Luo Haowen, Senior R&D Engineer at the Photovoltaic Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled "Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cell Technology for Mass Production." He pointed out that perovskite/silicon tandem cells, as a disruptive future photovoltaic technology, have become an industry consensus, with laboratory efficiency records surpassing 35% and commercial-size tandem cell efficiency exceeding 33%. With mass production as the fundamental goal of its tandem solar cell R&D, Tongwei has chosen a technological route compatible with existing heterojunction production lines. It has conducted systematic research on key aspects such as perovskite growth on commercial textured silicon, interface passivation, and device structure.

Dr. Luo Haowen stated that to achieve the industrial application of tandem technology, it is necessary to transfer laboratory efficiency-enhancement solutions and mechanistic insights into mass production, clarify the technological roadmap and efficient, stable processes suitable for full-size tandem solar cells, and coordinate with complete equipment solutions. In the future, the development of Tongwei's perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells will closely follow the cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement technological path of silicon bottom cells. Leveraging Tongwei's unique 210-half-cell tandem automated pilot line platform, and combining technologies such as silicon wafer thinning and silver-free metallization, Tongwei will continuously contribute to improving the efficiency of tandem solar cells. Simultaneously, outdoor validation of tandem solar cells will be gradually carried out to practically address stability issues.

Through this forum and in-depth exchanges with industry experts, Tongwei once again demonstrated its position as a technological leader in the PV industry. Tongwei will continue to deepen its R&D of PV technology, promoting the advancement of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell technology from the laboratory to large-scale mass production, and contributing Tongwei's strength to achieving the "Dual Carbon" goals.
