On June 11, 2025, during SNEC 2025, Tongwei officially announced its membership in three prestigious global new energy organizations: the Global Solar Council (GSC), the IRENA Coalition for Action, and the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI). This marks Tongwei's debut across all three premier global new energy organizations simultaneously, reaffirming its strategic ambition and proactive engagement in global energy transition and sustainable development.

These three organizations play pivotal roles in advancing global energy transition, accelerating renewable energy adoption, and driving solar technology innovation. As a key global solar industry body, GSC champions global solar energy proliferation and development. IRENA Coalition focuses on fostering cooperation among governments and stakeholders to accelerate the proportion of renewable energy in the global energy structure. And SSI is committed to promoting the sustainable management and development of the solar industry. Tongwei's membership will strengthen these organizations with industrial expertise, infusing fresh vitality and resources to collectively elevate global energy transition.

Amid tightening resource constraints, climate challenges, and volatile business landscapes, as the first Fortune Global 500 company in the global PV industry, Tongwei has pursued green development for 43 years. In 2024, Tongwei issued 13 sustainability commitments, established 20 goals, joined 10 international initiatives, forming a comprehensive sustainability ecosystem spanning environmental and social value. In terms of environmental value creation, Tongwei achieved a 16% year-on-year reduction in organizational carbon emission intensity through the optimization of its clean production system, with carbon footprint and EPD certifications increasing to 68 items. Relying on its smart environmental management system, Tongwei promoted a systematic reduction of over 20% in wastewater, waste gas, and solid waste pollutant emissions. The application of renewable energy electricity exceeded 23.965 million MWh, continuing to lead the photovoltaic industry's clean energy application standards. Milestone breakthroughs were achieved in supply chain construction. The company has established a product lifecycle traceability system based on its full industrial chain advantages, becoming the first enterprise to pass the TÜV Rheinland traceability audit and obtain an all-A-grade evaluation result.

This May, Tongwei officially launched the "Global Sustainable Partnership Program" worldwide, which is not only a further extension and deepening of Tongwei's "Together to Win" but also a deep implementation of Tongwei's "3T Mission and 4W Vision" strategy. With exemplary ESG practices, Tongwei has won over 70 sustainability awards, including three consecutive years on the Fortune China ESG Impact List and China ESG Listed Companies Pioneer 100, as well as UN Global Compact's "20 Cases Examples of Private Sector's Sustainable Development in China for 20 Years" for Chinese enterprises.

Over the years, Tongwei has deeply participated in international sustainable development initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and RE100 and has attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference for five consecutive years.
