On May 28, 2025, the "N-type Cell Silver Reduction and Silver-free Technology Seminar" co-hosted by Photovoltaic Industry Research and Changzhou Photovoltaic Industry Association was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu. This conference conducted an in-depth discussion on the hot topics of concern in N-type cells and silver reduction technology. Xia Zhengyue, Director of the PV Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the conference and deliver a keynote speech.

During his presentation, "Tongwei's High-Efficiency N-Type Battery Module Technology," Xia Zhengyue introduced Tongwei's high-efficiency 0BB interconnection technology and TNC 2.0 products to the attendees.

Tongwei's N-type high-efficiency modules are based on the 908 technology (Tongwei's independently developed 0BB technology). As a platform technology, the 908 technology has many advantages such as higher power, lower silver consumption, and better appearance. Director Xia Zhengyue stated that mass production verification shows that Tongwei's 908 technology can reduce silver consumption by 10% to 20%, increase power output by nearly 1%, and exhibit excellent stability in module manufacturing and long-term aging reliability. It also has advantages over SMBB in terms of safety and environmental protection. In terms of future technology compatibility, the 908 technology platform demonstrates good compatibility with various technologies, including multi-busbar, shingled, and triangular welding ribbon technologies on the module side, as well as EPT, steel plate, and new metallization technologies on the cell side.

At present, Tongwei's 908 technology has been officially introduced into mass production. Based on the 908 technology platform, Tongwei modules have repeatedly broken industry power records. Among them, the TNC 2.0 G12R-66 module has a maximum power output of 682.8W, and the THC G12-66 module has a maximum power output of 790.8W. Leveraging high-efficiency battery module technologies such as 908, TPE, steel screen printing, and Poly Tech, Tongwei has officially launched the TNC 2.0 module, which demonstrates excellent module power and product value.
