On May 23, the "Belt and Road" Green Brand Going Global Initiative (Arab Region) project promotion event was successfully held in Beijing. The event, co-hosted by the All-China Environment Federation and the Belt and Road Initiative International Green Development Coalition, focused on the theme of "Building a 'Belt and Road' Green Brand Going Global—New Opportunities for Cooperation in the Arab Region." It brought together hundreds of representatives from member states of the League of Arab States in China, heads of international organizations, representatives of international enterprises, industry experts, and business leaders to share cutting-edge concepts and practical cases of green development, assisting countries along the Belt and Road in achieving green transformation.

Zeng Yuhan, Head of Carbon Management at Tongwei Co., Ltd., attended this event on behalf of the company. The Arab region is an important node in the "Belt and Road" initiative. With the acceleration of the global green transition, there is significant potential for cooperation between China and Arab countries in the fields of new energy, environmental protection technology, and sustainable infrastructure. Ahmed Fahmy, the Ambassador of the League of Arab States to China, pointed out in his speech that Arab countries' environmental priorities such as clean energy transformation, desertification prevention and control, and water shortage are highly consistent with China's green development agenda. The cooperation experience and resources accumulated by the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and the "Belt and Road" initiative provide a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the green sector. Thomas, Secretary-General of the Morocco-China Friendship Association and Advisor to the Moroccan Embassy in China, particularly emphasized that China and Morocco can strengthen technical exchanges and project cooperation in areas such as solar energy, hydrogen energy development, and water resource management, jointly promoting the goal of achieving 52% renewable energy by 2030.
