Day Two of Intersolar: High Efficiency and Sustainable Development Converge!

On May 8, local time, during the second day of Intersolar Europe 2025, Tongwei unveiled the 2024 Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Report & Sustainability Report of Tongwei Co., Ltd. and the "Global Sustainable Partnership Program" to the world. Liu Shuqi, Chairwoman and CEO of Tongwei Co., Ltd., attended and addressed the event. Dr. Zhu Zihan, Chief Sustainability Officer of Tongwei Co., Ltd., gave a presentation centering on ESG, detailing the company’s progress and medium-to-long-term goals in carbon emission management, green manufacturing, social responsibility, and corporate governance. Attendees at the launch event included Sonia Dunlop, CEO of the Global Solar Council, Frank Piller, Global Vice President of Solar & Commercial Products at TÜV International GmbH, Wang Xianli, Chairman of Yonz Technology Co., Ltd., Martyna Grzegorczyk, Procurement Director of KENO, and Anders Vieth Rør, Senior Consultant at Sustainability, as well as executives from Tongwei, including Feng Chang, Administrative Director, Qiu Xin, Vice President of Marketing, Fan Hua, Vice President of Supply Chain, and Xue Qingsong, Deputy General Manager of Module Marketing at PV Business Department.

During the exhibition, Tongwei officially released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Report & Sustainability Report globally. Dr. Zhu Zihan delivered a keynote speech titled "Together to Win", sharing Tongwei’s 3S sustainability management system and key ESG achievements.

In recognition of Tongwei’s outstanding performance in ESG reporting, TÜV Rheinland awarded Tongwei Co., Ltd. an ESG Report Assurance Statement. This statement, compliant with the AA1000 standard, was presented by Frank Piller, Global President of Solar and Commercial Product Services at TÜV Rheinland, and accepted by Dr. Zhu Zihan on behalf of Tongwei. The statement not only affirms Tongwei’s international standards in ESG compliance and transparency but also signifies the company's stronger trust endorsement in global capital markets and supply chains.

Responsible Growth


Liu Shuqi, Chairwoman and CEO of Tongwei Co., Ltd., attended and addressed the launch event. She noted that over the past three years, Tongwei has deeply integrated ESG principles into corporate governance, technological innovation, and global development, redefining "responsible growth" through concrete actions. At the booth, Tongwei officially launched the Global Sustainable Partnership Program, aiming to build a long-term, win-win green development ecosystem with global channel partners, end customers, industry associations, and certification bodies, focusing on green supply chain collaboration, information platform integration, and public welfare cooperation.

TNC 2.0: More Efficient


On the same day, Jiang Yu, Overseas Technical Support at Tongwei Co., Ltd.’s PV Business Department, shared technical insights on the TNC 2.0 product, providing an in-depth analysis of the multi-dimensional innovation pathways behind the enhanced module performance. He emphasized that TNC 2.0 is not merely a technological upgrade but a holistic solution built on Tongwei’s deep understanding of end-user application scenarios.

Supported by four core technologies—908 technology (Tongwei’s self-developed 0BB technology), TPE edge passivation, Poly Tech, and steel screen printing—the TWMNH-66HD module (G12R-66 version) reduces CAPEX by 1.20% and LCoE by 1.28% compared to conventional modules. The TWMNF-66HD module (G12-66 version) achieves a 1.26% reduction in CAPEX and a 1.31% reduction in LCoE, delivering a comprehensive improvement in product performance.


Frontier Market Analysis


Josefin Berg, Associate Director of Clean Energy Technology Research and Analysis at S&P Global, delivered a keynote speech on the event analyzing development trends in Europe's large-scale PV market.

She pointed out that while Europe still has vast potential for PV growth, market competition is intensifying, with developers facing challenges such as uncertain revenue models, volatile electricity prices, and lengthy project approval cycles. Some Chinese module manufacturers, including Tongwei, demonstrate strong competitiveness and investment appeal in this volatile market due to their mature technology, stable capacity, and high transparency.


Signing for Strategic Cooperation


Additionally, Tongwei signed a tripartite strategic partnership agreement with Memodo and Elix Group. The signing was witnessed by Tobias, CEO of Memodo, Pieter Hofstede, CTO of Elix Group, and Xue Qingsong, Deputy General Manager of Module Marketing at Tongwei Co., Ltd.’s PV Business Department. Brian van Middelkoop, Sales Director of Memodo Netherlands, Jelle Schenk, Head of Procurement and Partnerships at Elix Group, and Chen Fangzhou, Head of Overseas Module Marketing at Tongwei Co., Ltd.’s PV Business Department, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
