On May 7, local time, Intersolar Europe 2025 grandly opened in Munich, Germany. Tongwei showcased the new-generation of TNC 2.0 full-scenario product matrix, driving "efficiency evolution" with the dual engines of technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing.

The Brand-New TNC 2.0 Modules Debuted with Powerful Force

On the opening day, the "TNC 2.0 Product Global Launch · Munich" was grandly unveiled. Liu Shuqi, Chairwoman and CEO of Tongwei Co., Ltd., attended and addressed the conference. Dr. Xing Guoqiang, Chief Technology Officer for the PV Business of Tongwei Co., Ltd., gave a technical speech on product launch, elaborating on the technical advantages and customer value of TNC 2.0. Feng Chang, Administrative Director of Tongwei Co., Ltd., Qiu Xin, Vice President of Marketing, Fan Hua, Vice President of Supply Chain, and Xue Qingsong, Deputy General Manager of Module Marketing in the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., attended the event, witnessing the "efficiency evolution" of the new TNC2.0 module products together with the guests.

Chairwoman Liu Shuqi mentioned in her speech that Tongwei has always firmly believed that clean energy should serve everyone in the world freely and equally. True technological innovation should be beneficial to the harmonious coexistence of human society and the natural environment. Each Tongwei module is not only a carrier of technology but also a part of a clean energy system, converting sunlight into continuous green power, providing stable power supply for decades to come.

Based on this, Tongwei launched the new TNC 2.0 modules. With the core concepts of "high efficiency, reliability, and sustainability", it comprehensively improves the power generation performance of products in multiple scenarios. Its value lies not only in reducing the LCOE but also in building energy autonomy and promoting the transformation of the future energy pattern. We hope to lead progress with technology and realize our ideals with products, making the future of energy more visible and promising.

In his presentation, Dr. Xing Guoqiang stated that the TNC 2.0 modules have achieved a comprehensive performance upgrade with the help of four major technologies, including 908 technology (Tongwei's independently developed 0BB technology), TPE edge passivation technology, Poly Tech, and steel screen printing.

At the technical level, by substituting silicone adhesive for the cell pad point connections, the shading area is reduced, while the internal stress is lower. Therefore, the risk of hidden cell cracking is reduced by 30%, and the reliability of the module is better.

The TNC2.0 modules use optimized passivation materials to treat the laser-cut sides of the cell, repairing the edge defects of the cutting edge and significantly improving the cell performance.

By using a specially designed steel plate to replace the traditional silk screen, a 100% opening rate is achieved, reducing shading area by 3.3% and enhancing current collection efficiency in solar cells.

The removing of the Poly layer in non-contact areas ensures the passivation effect and contact performance are ensured, minimizes optical losses, and enhances the power output and bifaciality of the modules.

The new TNC 2.0 products have given full play to Tongwei's advantages in process and efficiency, achieved full-scenario coverage of products, significantly increased product power, reduced the CAPEX cost of the PV system, and reduced the LCoE, providing a strong guarantee for customer value. With the support of TNC 2.0 technology, the CAPEX cost of the TWMNH-66HD module (G12R-66 version) is reduced by 1.20% and the LCoE is reduced by 1.28% compared with conventional modules. The CAPEX cost of the TWMNF-66HD module (G12-66 version) is reduced by 1.26% and the LCoE is reduced by 1.31% compared with conventional modules.

In addition, in terms of technology research and development, the bifaciality of Tongwei's TNC bifacial module has achieved a breakthrough of over 88% (certified by TÜV Rheinland and CGC), which is 5%-10% higher than that of conventional modules.

Awarded the Rheinland TÜV Certification, Achieving Further Recognition

During the Intersolar exhibition, Li Weichun, Vice President of Global Power Electronics Business Segment and Vice President of Solar & Commercial Products Greater China at oTÜV Rheinland Group, presented Tongwei with the IEC TS 62994:2019 full-life-cycle environmental protection certification and MCS certification. Dr. Xing Guoqiang received the certificates on behalf of Tongwei.

IEC TS 62994:2019 covers the environmental health and safety risk assessment of products throughout their entire life cycle, from raw materials, manufacturing, installation, to recycling and disposal. The MCS certification reflects the high market recognition of the quality of Tongwei's module products.

Mr. Li said that Tongwei's new TNC 2.0 series demonstrates leading strength in high performance and high quality, reflecting Tongwei's continuous innovation in the field of high-performance modules. The Tongwei TNC 2.0 series not only leads the evolution direction of PV module technology but also provides a more competitive solution for the global market.

Excellent Module Manufacturer, Top Performer

With its excellent performance in modules, Tongwei won the title of "Top Performer" as a module manufacturer in 2025 from KIWA-PVEL. Tristan Erion-Lorico, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of KIWA-PVEL, presented the certificate on-site, and Qiu Xin, Vice President of Marketing of Tongwei Co., Ltd., received the certificate on behalf of Tongwei.

Mr. Qiu mentioned that the awarding of Top Performer this time is an authoritative recognition of the long-term reliability of Tongwei's modules and also proof that they continue to drive product upgrades with high standards. Global Cooperation Expands, Yielding Further Success

During the exhibition, Tongwei officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 2025 with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Holding GmbH, a European energy service provider. The signing was witnessed by Frank Jessel, CEO of BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Holding GmbH, and Xue Qingsong, Deputy General Manager of Module Marketing in the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd. Alexander Schütt, Chief Strategy Officer of BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Holding GmbH, and Chen Fangzhou, Head of Overseas Module Marketing in the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Both sides will deeply deploy in the European market, carry out project development, system integration, and operation and maintenance support around the TNC 2.0 full-scenario products, achieving resource sharing and complementary advantages.

During the same period, Tongwei signed a project supply agreement for the Eastern European region with INFO-Telecom. Arben, General Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Development Projects of INFO-Telecom, and Deputy General Manager Xue Qingsong, witnessed the signing. Ramush, Technical Director of INFO-Telecom, and Ji Weihua, Head of Module Marketing for the Eastern European and American regions in the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Mr. Xue said that this strategic cooperation with INFO-Telecom reflects the accurate understanding of regional market demand.
