Recently, Tongwei officially signed a supply agreement of 200MW high-efficiency PV modules with Coenergia, Italy's largest PV distributor. Moretti, CEO of Coenergia, and Chen Fangzhou, Head of Module Marketing for Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa from the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., signed the contract on behalf of both parties, marking a deep collaboration between the two sides in promoting the green energy transition in Europe.

Driving Low-carbon Competitiveness through Technological Innovation
As a pioneer in renewable energy in Europe, Italy plans to increase its PV installed capacity to 80GW by 2030, with distributed projects accounting for more than 60%. The high electricity prices of high-tech enterprises, limited land resources, and the policy inclination towards low-carbon technologies have driven a surge in the market demand for PV modules with "high efficiency, low emissions, and easy installation". The rapid growth of residential and commercial and industrial rooftop scenarios in Italy has further given rise to the core demands for high efficiency and high safety.
In addition, since 2023, the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has been piloted and implemented, posing higher requirements for environmental protection and compliance in the PV sector. Facing the new regulations, reducing the carbon emission intensity of products has become an important issue for the sustainable development of enterprises. Tongwei adheres to the coordinated efforts in energy conservation, carbon reduction, and efficiency improvement. By optimizing the conversion efficiency of products themselves, enhancing the value of module products, and improving the carbon emission performance of products, it can better contribute to global climate governance.
To meet the urgent demand of the Italian market for "high-efficiency and high-power" modules, Tongwei's TNC 2.0 has achieved performance breakthroughs through four technical upgrades, including the 908 technology (Tongwei's independently developed 0BB technology), EPT passivation technology, steel screen printing technology, and Poly Tech. It has significantly improved the module conversion efficiency, bringing an optimal value solution to the Italian market. Powered by TNC 2.0 technology, the TNC-G12 achieves a maximum power output of 765W and module efficiency up to 24.6%; the TNC-G12R series reaches a maximum power of 670W and module efficiency of 24.8%, remaining at the leading level in the industry.
With the characteristics of high efficiency and low attenuation, and coupled with Italy's highest Class 1 fire protection certification, Tongwei's high-efficiency modules meet the dual demands of residential and commercial and industrial rooftops for safety, high power, and high efficiency, becoming a strategic choice for Coenergia to expand its market.

Tongwei's Technology Empowers Coenergia to Leverage Its Local Advantages
As the distributor with the largest market share in Italy, Coenergia has become a benchmark enterprise in the PV field relying on its channel network covering the whole country, local service capabilities, and profound insights into European energy policies.
In this cooperation, relying on the advantages of high-efficiency module products and TNC 2.0 technology, Tongwei will form a deep complementarity with Coenergia's end-customer resources and project implementation experience. Carlo Moretti said that Tongwei's technological innovation is highly consistent with their market strategy. The 200MW cooperation is just the starting point. In the future, the two sides will jointly expand the Italian and Southern European markets and accelerate the regional energy transition.
Chen Fangzhou, Head of Module Marketing for Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa from the PV Business Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., emphasized that the energy transition in Europe is evolving from "quantitative growth" to "qualitative change". They have continuously optimized product performance through innovative technologies such as TNC 2.0 to empower customers with "high-efficiency performance". The cooperation with Coenergia will provide a replicable business paradigm for the global carbon neutrality goal.
