Recently, Tongwei Co., Ltd. has established strategic collaborations with three Pakistani companies, including Perfect Services, Nimir Energy, and Mateen Sons, culminating in a total of 650MW PV module supply agreements. Among these, Tongwei's TNC-G12/G12R high-efficiency modules being the focal point of this partnership.

Tongwei signs cooperation agreement with Perfect Services

According to data from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Pakistan enjoys over 3,000 hours of sunlight annually, providing exceptional conditions for PV power generation. However, Pakistan has long relied predominantly on thermal and hydropower (approximately 50%), which lead to increasing issues such as energy shortages and environmental pollution. In addition, challenges such as circular debt in the power sector, underdeveloped transmission networks, and high line damage rates have hindered the overall development of the electricity system.

As a resource-rich and cost-effective renewable clean energy source, PV is seen as a crucial direction for driving the energy transition, with significant development potential. An increasing number of companies are actively exploring low-cost electricity solutions represented by PV to achieve a more stable and reliable power supply.

As prominent energy enterprises in the Pakistani region, Perfect Services, Nimir Energy Limited, and Mateen Sons have long been entrenched in the local market, accumulating extensive experience in PV project development, investment, and operation. Their decision to partner with Tongwei for this 650MW PV module supply agreement reflects not only their recognition of Tongwei's leading position in the global PV industry but also their high regard for the quality and technical strength of Tongwei's products.

In light of Pakistan's extreme climatic conditions—such as high radiation and temperature variations—there are heightened demands for the high-temperature resistance and long-term stability of PV modules. Leveraging its robust R&D capabilities and technological expertise, Tongwei has provided tailored solutions for the Pakistani market, effectively addressing the region's unique requirements. The TNC-G12/G12R series of high-efficiency modules has overcome multiple technical challenges. To withstand the high radiation and extreme temperature variations typical of Pakistan’s plateau regions, these products have passed UV120 and UV300 tests, demonstrating exceptional UV resistance and stable performance.

Meanwhile, Tongwei has also introduced a series of modules based on its TNC 2.0 technology, achieving revolutionary upgrades while building on traditional strengths. TNC 2.0 incorporates four key technologies: 908 technology (Tongwei’s self-developed 0BB technology), steel screen printing, EPT passivation technology, and Poly Tech. These innovations have continuously improved bifaciality, optimized temperature coefficients, and enhanced power competitiveness, further increasing the modules’ lifecycle power generation efficiency and investment return rates.
