On February 12, the signing ceremony for the "source-grid-load-storage integration" development and 150MW/300MWh shared energy storage projects of Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd. was officially held in Jintang County. Zhong Jingyuan, Secretary of the CPC Jintang County Committee, Wang Anning, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jintang County Committee and Mayor of the People's Government of Jintang County, Yang Rongmao, Deputy Secretary and Executive Deputy Director of the Party Working Committee of Chengdu-Aba Industrial Park, Cao Bo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jintang County Committee, Deng Weiping, General Manager of Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd., Chen Jun, Assistant General Manager of Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd., Pang Sanfeng, General Manager of Tongwei Solar (Jintang) Co., Ltd., and Gao Guanghai, Executive Deputy General Manager of Tongwei New Energy Engineering Design Sichuan Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony. Huang Hong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Sichuan Jintang Economic Development Zone, and Song Jingjing, General Manager of Sichuan Tongwei Green Energy Power Co., Ltd., signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Signing of the cooperation agreement

At this ceremony, the representatives of the People's Government of Jintang County and Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement for the "source-grid-load-storage integration" demonstration project and an investment agreement for a 150MW/300MWh shared energy storage project. The projects aim to jointly create Sichuan's first cross-regional demonstration project for the source-grid-load-storage integration, serving the building of a clean energy corridor in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. With a planned investment of RMB 500 million, the contracted projects will adopt the advanced energy storage technology of lithium iron phosphate battery to build a highly integrated and intelligently interactive energy management system. Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd. intends to leverage its advantageous resources in PV power generation, energy storage technology, and comprehensive energy services to collaborate with Jintang in developing a "source-grid-load-storage integration" demonstration project, further enhancing the green energy utilization level of the Jintang Economic Development Zone and the Chengdu-Aba Industrial Park. The project will also promote precise scheduling capability for energy elements, and help energy-consuming enterprises in Tongwei's Jintang Base and the park reduce costs and increase efficiency, thereby improving the comprehensive market competitiveness of products.

In terms of "source", Tongwei New Energy will rely on the abundant green power resources of "three autonomous prefectures and one city", to promote the development of centralized and distributed PV power generation resources and support the building of the "manufacturing + application" dual base in the PV industry. In terms of "grid", it will focus on key energy facility projects such as the 1000KV ultra-high voltage from Aba to Chengdu East Railway Station and the 500KV substation in Huaizhou, to drive the building of dedicated substations and power lines for major energy-consuming enterprises. In terms of "load", it will utilize the park's load center to strengthen precise regulation of power supply and demand balance and assist enterprises in reducing energy costs. In terms of "storage", it will scientifically deploy energy storage projects on the power side, grid side, and user side. In terms of "cloud", it will integrate data flow, energy flow, and information flow to create a virtual power plant aggregation platform and a smart energy management platform, providing a "one-stop" smart energy solution. Both parties will collaboratively facilitate the integration of PV and energy storage, and accelerate the large-scale cooperation in the clean energy industry with "manufacturing in Chengdu, application scenarios in three autonomous prefectures, and green power output to Chengdu, contributing to the building of a "zero-carbon park."

Symposium and exchange

At the symposium, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on further deepening cooperation on the project and the direction of its development. During the communication process, both parties expressed positive outlooks on the future prospects of the cooperation. The Party Committee and the People’s Government of Jintang County hoped that both parties could further strengthen communication, deepen cooperation, and jointly overcome potential difficulties and challenges that may be encountered during the implementation of the project. General Manager Deng Weiping delivered gratitude for the concern and support from the Party Committee and the People’s Government of Jintang County, and stated that Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd. would spare no effort to ensure the successful implementation and efficient operation of the "source-grid-load-storage integration" demonstration project. He emphasized that Tongwei New Energy would adhere to the principle of win-win cooperation, and work closely with the People’s Government of Jintang County to jointly promote the sustainable development of the project, make contributions to the green energy building of the Jintang Economic Development Zone and Chengdu-Aba Industrial Park, and create a brighter future.

Based on a strong foundation of cooperation between Tongwei and Jintang, PV new energy manufacturing links such as silicon wafers, cell panels, and modules have been developed in Jintang. This time, Tongwei New Energy, as the terminal representative in the PV industry chain, once again joined hands with Jintang to create a highly integrated and intelligently interactive energy management system, improve the building of a new power system featuring "source-grid-load-storage", enhance the optimization and upgrading of the energy consumption structure, and achieve efficient, flexible, and sustainable development of the energy system.
