The Tongwei Group's 2025 Annual Media Networking Conference was held in Chengdu on January 8, under the theme "United in Pursuit of Dreams, Striving for PV Development, Weathering Storms Together, and Embarking on a New Journey." Over 30 authoritative central and mainstream media outlets gathered at Tongwei, where Liu Shuqi, Chairwoman and CEO of Tongwei Co., Ltd., engaged in discussions with attendees. Chairwoman Liu Shuqi communicated with media representatives, stating that the PV sector is currently undergoing a significant adjustment period and facing challenges. However, from a macro perspective, more than half of the world's energy is still non-electric, with many countries, including China, having a proportion exceeding 60%. Under the background of carbon neutrality, almost all non-electric energy is fossil energy, which means that today's non-electric energy and fossil energy will all be converted into electric energy coming from green and clean power generation in the next 20 or 30 years. For instance, to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 or 2060, China will require an annual installation of 500 million to 700 million kilowatts of PV capacity, or even more. Therefore, for an emerging industry with ample growth potential, the current tests and challenges are merely minor waves in the development process. As a leading enterprise in the PV sector, we firmly believe that our future will undoubtedly improve with steadfast development convictions and strategic focus.
