From October 8 to 9, the global energy sector turned the spotlight to the 2024 BloombergNEF (BNEF) Summit in London. The summit attracted over 500 sector leaders, investment experts, and political elites, to delve into core issues of the medium- to long-term energy, industry, and transportation sector and look forward to the bright prospects of the new energy market.
As a leader in the global PV field, Tongwei was invited to attend this grand event. In the roundtable forum themed on "PV Module Manufacturers' Strategies: Challenges and Opportunities for the PV Industry in the New Energy Era", Xu Jie, overseas technical director of module marketing of the PV Business Division of Tongwei Co., Ltd., conducted an in-depth discussion on the opportunities and challenges faced by the current PV industry around the dynamic changes in the global new energy market, and elaborated on the countermeasures taken by Tongwei.
At present, the EU plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy in end-use energy consumption to 42.5% by 2030. Among them, PV power generation will play an important role, which brings long-term and stable market opportunities for China's PV manufacturers including Tongwei. How to seize market opportunities and address the uncertainty of the international trade environment becomes a focus of attention both inside and outside the sector. According to Director Xu Jie, PV enterprises should continuously explore and enhance their core competitiveness on the path of global development, actively expand the international market, enable to promote China's PV technology "going global", and utilize China's "intelligent" manufacturing to boost innovation and progress of global PV technology.
In response to the complex changes in the international market, Tongwei continues to enhance its industrial synergy, operating stability, and production capacity digestion capabilities, and positively develops multiple technical paths based on its integrated industrial chain advantages in the field of PV module production, so as to adapt to technological innovation and cyclical fluctuations in the sector's development.Meanwhile, Tongwei actively expands the European market, establishes stable partnerships with regional leading dealers, improves its local distribution network, and builds a solid business structure. It is also constantly committed to strengthening supply chain quality and compliance to cope with the risks brought by regional policy changes.
