On Nov, 11-12, the sixth 2008’ China Non-Public Economy Development Forum was held in Guangxi. The theme of the forum was “New stage, new challenge, new strategy and new development.” Attended were government officials, outstanding domestic private business representatives, as well as well-known economists and scholars. Board Chairman of Tongwei Group Mr. Liu Hanyuan was invited to give keynote speech, which was favorably reviewed by the audience and media present. He mentioned, at the impact of financial crisis, the government’s top priority is to ease monetary policy and firmly implement the fiscal and tax reform. For all the global economic slowdown, China’s economy has every chance to maintain a relatively fast growth rate in the next 5 to 10 or even 20 years. The key is to expand domestic demand with effective measures on promoting fiscal and tax reform.
