From October 12 to 14, during Solar & Storage KSA 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Tongwei formally signed an 80MW high-efficiency module supply agreement with Sun Arabia, a leading local provider of green energy solutions in Saudi Arabia.
On behalf of both parties, Wu Siqi, Regional Business Representative for the Middle East and Africa in Module Marketing of the PV Business Department at Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Zeyad Roshdy, Sales and Marketing Manager of Sun Arabia, signed the agreement. Ibrahem Ramadan, Regional Business Representative for the Middle East and Africa in Module Marketing of the PV Business Department at Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Hussain Abdullah, General Manager of Sun Arabia, attended as witnesses.
Founded in 2022, Sun Arabia is a leading local provider of green energy solutions in Saudi Arabia. Boasting extensive experience in PV system integration and project implementation, it has successfully delivered numerous projects. This marks the first collaboration between the two parties, and it holds significant importance for Tongwei to further expand its presence in Saudi Arabia's growing commercial and industrial PV market.
Saudi Arabia's PV market has long been dominated by large-scale ground-mounted power stations. As Saudi Vision 2030 advances further, the country’s investment in renewable energy continues to expand, while the commercial and industrial distributed market is growing at an accelerating pace, emerging as a new focal point in PV development. This collaboration will fully integrate Tongwei's strengths in products and technologies with Sun Arabia's local channels and project experience, jointly driving the optimization of the regional energy structure and green transformation.
At the exhibition, Tongwei and Sun Arabia jointly showcased a range of high-efficiency module products. Among them, the TNC 2.0 G12-66 module, with its large-size cell design and higher power output, perfectly meets the low LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity) requirements of large-scale ground-mounted power stations in Saudi Arabia. Its higher power generation efficiency and excellent system compatibility help customers reduce the cost per kilowatt-hour. Meanwhile, its high bifaciality enables a significant increase in system power generation—a benefit that continues to amplify in desert environments as surface reflectivity intensifies.
Also showcased at the event is TNC's "Clean Edge" anti-dust module. Tailored to the high-temperature, dusty climate of the Middle East, it features an optimized frame structure that effectively prevents performance degradation caused by dust accumulation, delivering more durable and stable power generation performance for customers. Its thin side-A structure and full-wrap frame design not only enhance long-term reliability and weather resistance but also lend the module a sleeker, more aesthetically pleasing appearance. Combined with Tongwei's continuous innovations in high-efficiency cell and module technologies, the "Clean Edge" series offers Saudi Arabia's market a high-quality option with enhanced adaptability.
Furthermore, Tongwei's N-type high-efficiency TNC series PV modules have obtained certification under 2 PfG 3131/05.25—the world's first desert PV module testing and type certification standard issued by TÜV Rheinland. This standard covers key degradation modes such as UV-induced degradation, multi-factor coupling tests for high temperature, high humidity, and high UV exposure, thermo-mechanical fatigue, and surface abrasion. It stands as the most rigorous environmental and safety assessment system in the industry to date. Thanks to its exceptional reliability and structural design, Tongwei's TNC series has successfully passed all testing procedures, further validating its long-term stability in extreme environments such as high temperatures, high radiation, and sand erosion.
